Reviews of The Lofts Of Greenville
"We lived at the Lofts for one year and after 10 years of renting at various apartment complexes, I can confidently say this was the worst experience ever. The building and units are so poorly kept and just falling apart. The kitchen appliances were 14+ yrs old and dented/scratched and falling apart, but they wouldn’t replace them. This is not the maintenance staff’s fault - they were always so nice, but they are given nothing to work with unfortunately. The unit itself was covered in dust and dirt and things splattered on cabinet fronts when we moved in and the cleaners just said “sorry we won’t touch certain things because we don’t want to be held responsible if it breaks”. There are bugs EVERYWHERE. I still cringe thinking about it. The brick and ceilings are not well taken care and never sealed, so they will crumble on your furniture and floors constantly. If you don’t smoke/are bothered by cigarette smoke, you’ll hate it here. All the amenities such as the courtyards, the pool cabana, the entrances to the building, etc have become designated smoke areas. The manager (L) and staff would stand right outside our apartment window to smoke, which filled our entire unit with cigarette smoke daily. The gate was always broken. There were multiple instances of cars being broken into. Nicole at the office was always nice and apologetic, but the manager (L) gave us the impression that she just didn’t really care about her job, and for the most part was either no where to be found, or standing outside on her phone while smoking a cig. There are so many better lofts or apartments in Greenville, please save yourself the hassle and look elsewhere."
"I’m usually trying to make things quick these days so I’ll be sweet and quick. For us it’s overall fantastic still after 3 years. All of our senses are happy here. If these walls could only pour out all their souls like a nightly broadcast to share a few of all of the stories from days where good folks came to create here then, the way I do as an artist now… it would be THE perfect place. Ok it already is. I mean just look at window one and window two… I love the light that comes through and as an artist it’s pure GOLD BARS and at sunset it’s nothing short of stunning. It’ll be our home for as long as they’ll have us. Galen Morrisey-Seiglerhn"
"We chose the Lofts of Greenville because it seemed like a community that fit our vibe, and we were right. We appreciate the pace of life here - kind, low-key and friendly neighbors. The amenities are plentiful, offering a variety of areas to enjoy and relax on your own or with a crowd. We’re close to nature and the city. The apartment was just what we wanted and the staff, as well as the maintenance crew, are fantastic. We love living here!"
"The Lofts are perfectly located in a quiet neighborhood on the Swamp Rabbit Trail. The residents and staff are friendly. The historic architecture provides phenomenal character for your home. The Lofts doesn’t have many resident events or many gathering areas outside of the dog park and the CrossFit gym (e.g., no place for working from home). The major issues are that the building interior design is outdated, the main elevator frequently breaks, and the gates are often out-of-service increasing the frequency of car break-ins. Overall, I’m satisfied with the experience of living here."
"The Lofts of Greenville is the remodeled historic Monaghan Mill which operated for over a hundred years. A current trend in the growing Greenville area seems to be turning landmark mills into apartments and condominiums. I think this is a great idea. Remodeling and repurposing historic buildings into housing while also helping to preserve a National Register of Historic Places landmark. I haven't lived there nor seen the interior, but it seems very well maintained and looks nice from the outside."
