"I wanted to give a big thank you to The Collective at Clemson for helping me find a place to live. The team has been so helpful given my situation and I am so grateful to have found a place I can call home. I am looking forward to moving in. Thank you again!"
"Was visiting a friend here and we decided to go swimming. Well, they called the police on us. No one came and talked to us ahead of time. It was within the hours. We was not being loud or anything. Just chilling in the spa at the time. Policeman tried to speak with them first but the excuse was "maybe they wasn't there and saw on the camera. They just didn't want anyone there at this time." Well lies because we saw them they could have easily talked to us first. And I'd like to add, the person that lives there had no notice of no one supposed to be there or anything."
"This is my second year living at The Collective/Aspen Heights and it's easily one of the best places to live for the price. The houses are incredibly spacious with a huge downstairs living room, kitchen, rooms, and closets. My only drawbacks are that utilities can get pretty high during the colder months and the gym is getting outdated (however, the clubhouse is getting renovated soon). The transfer to new management has been going smoothly, I would like to see more events similar to when Aspen Heights owned the property. If my roommates didn't want to try something new next year I'd definitely spend my final year at the Collective again."
"Aspen Heights of Clemson has offered a wonderful experience as a resident. The office staff, as well as maintenance, is super friendly and a pleasure to work with. Any questions/concerns that I have are addressed in the best way. The amenities are spot on. I absolutely love the pool/spa area! My favorite amenities would be the FREE printing in the clubhouse and the Aspen Shuttle that frequents campus every 30 minutes. Parking is decent as well. They offer parking spaces for visitors, which is rare for complexes, especially if it's located remotely near downtown/campus. The quality of living spaces here at Aspen is the best and simply cannot be beat."
"I lived at Aspen for two years and overall it was a good experience. Especially as Clemson grows (and parking on campus gets worse), the shuttle provided to campus is the best amenity the complex offers. The gym in the clubhouse is adequate but could benefit from free weights, rather than a smith machine, and more constant maintenance as some machines were often broken. I think the utilities were quite expensive, especially when compared to my new apartment ($120 per person, per month). The maintenance crew were always very helpful when I submitted a request, so no complaints from me here. As you can see from the other reviews, the biggest flaw with Aspen is their move out policies. They were very liberal with what they determined not to be standard wear and tear. I was charged $169 after moving out and I spent hours cleaning and touching up my room (including filling in every nail hole!). I'm doubtful that my room needed $50 in paint and although I do have videos/photos from the day I moved out, working with the office seems like it will be a slow and painful process. Hitting every student who moves out with inflated charges would profit them tens of thousands of dollars each year. Seriously, budget like $200 for Aspen to charge you when moving out."
