Dockside Clemson

"I moved in to this place at the end of July 2023. Renting an apartment here is the most regretful thing that I did since I came to Clemson. Many people in this place do not respect each other at all. These include but not limited to: party and make noise at midnight of Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, running/screaming at the pool/hallway at 3 am in the morning, threw food trash everywhere in the elevator/hallway/parking lot, leave their dog's poop in the grass when there are pick up bags 10 feet away, and DESTROY THE PUBLIC ACCESSORIES. Today is 10/27/2023, only 3 months after I moved in, someone opened my apartment door at 3 am from the outside. I cannot imagine why this happened because I lock my door every time. I cannot believe there are trash that do not understand the basic rule of the world, and think they can break other people's door without getting permission of the owner. AND, this is not the first time I heard people making noise at my door at midnight. it was just they made there way in this time. In the system i have uploaded my own renter's insurance information since I moved in. However, I was still charged for insurance by the apartment complex every month."

"Dockside is a really good place to leave I just had some roomate issues when first movinging so make sure you have a full understanding on who your roomate is beforing moving in even if its a friend or someone your just paired with"

"Went to Your Pie. It's hard to find and hardly no parking. Not sure if the garage is only for Apts. Crowded and not very efficient. Need a better setup for the order line...to slow. Everyone was lined up by the bathrooms. Needs improvement in getting the line moving faster. Quantity of food skimpy and over cooked. Beautiful place beside the lake. Inside and outside dining."

"The management and ambassadors were incredibly helpful! I’m a transfer student so I had no idea what the process for getting an apartment was but Kylie, Hannah, and Alyssa were all incredibly insightful! Ashton was also super helpful and explained certain parts of the process to me as well! Kylie also stayed late to help me with the application process and was so kind! Everyone was so nice and made the process so much less stressful. They also informed me that if any bit of water was detected from the flooding, the walls were ripped out to ensure everything was taken care of! The rooms look incredibly nice well. I can’t wait to move in! Also I feel like I need to mention that no one asked me to write this since there’s been reviews saying people get paid to write good reviews. Update : Everyone has been so helpful! Rachel was so helpful when I was trying to figure out the dimensions of the room prior to move in. Moving in wasn’t easy and everyone has been so wonderful during the whole process! Walker was incredibly helpful! Maintenance has been so helpful and arrives quickly when requests are in! The staff truly cares about the residents and I couldn’t be more grateful! "

"The worst off campus living in Clemson. First they assure us that move in will be on time after I asked multiple times if it would be delayed because of how slow the construction process was. Well, at the last minute move in was delayed a month and even after we moved in, there were issues because the construction was rushed. Not to mention, being woken up at 7am every day with construction outside your window. If you want an apartment that has constant fire alarms in the middle of the night, carbon monoxide leaks, bugs everywhere, and severe flooding, dockside is for you. Otherwise, stay clear of this complex. Any issue that arises, they will somehow find a way to blame the residents or bribe them with giveaways. Dockside sends very vague emails when incidents happen at the complex, leaving parents and students scrambling to figure out what is actually going on. They also delete comments on social media when people comment about the stuff happening as well as turn off the phones so you can’t get in contact with them. They even bribed people to write reviews before the place was even built, that is how it has good reviews.This is not luxury lakeside living."
