"We've used DB Schenker Charleston SC office for Customs Broker for about 6 years, they handled our incoming containers without hitch. Local Chas. we'd arrange truck to pickup. Outside like NYC Schenker set up delivery. We'd get an invoice, pay it, end of transaction. About Sept 1st, in the middle of the Pandemic sea freight back ups, Our account was transferred to Atlanta. Without any notice, they stopped any service except actual US Customs clearing. Our staff has no experience in managing the bulk of the paperwork and payments needed to obtain full release of our shipments. We never needed this skill. Our shipments are now stuck, without the Level of Service we enjoyed for 6+ years. We have no issue with paying for services. We simply don't understand why the rug was yanked out, without a notice of reduction in level of service. The professional thing to do would be proffer the customary service, even at an upcharge. Not leave you customer twisting in the wind. As a note the last pickup document we received from Schenker ATL didn't have a container number on it...impossible to pick up. We've been importing for about 25 years...never had a full blown reduction of service, much less, without notice."
