"It's a really cute place. First of all, I like the very pleasant and unique interior. It was done with a style and good taste! Decorated walls, comfortable leather seats, marble table surfaces look expensive. Everything is very clean! The tables, the floor, the plates - no complains. Now, the food. The chicken soup was so tasty, I couldn't believe it. BTW, a small bowl was pretty large. :) I also ordered El Jimador Grill special - highly recommended! The chicken/beef/shrimp dish was grilled to perfection. The cheese dip sauce was amazingly delicious. I have to say that it was an issue with one of the entrees at our table, but as soon as we mentioned it to our waiter, he offered a few options how to correct it and the problem was resolved easily and quickly. The way it was resolved actually left a very good impression. I liked the waiter's great attitude and willingness to correct the issue. So - I think it's a great restaurant. We'll be back! UPDATE #1: We came here again in a few weeks. Big difference. It looks like the chef was out and somebody inexperienced substituted him. Food came cold! And not only cold - slow cooked pork was dry. Nothing like we had before. If that would be our first visit, we would never come back again. But we believe it was simply a bad day. I still will reduce my 5 stars to 4. UPDATE #2: Prices went up, approximately $2 a dish. Half bowl of soup was $8, now it is $10. Grill special went from $13 to $15, and so on. So the restaurant is getting less attractive now... Sad."
"I'm glad I finally tried this place. The food, service and atmosphere were wonderful! We went on Thanksgiving eve and it was not crowded at all. Our server was on top of things from start to finish. We ordered the enchiladas and they were delicious! We also ordered the guacamole dip and were delighted with the flavor explosion. I can't wait to go back. I wouldn't even mind if it were crowded and took a little longer. To me, it would be totally worth it!"
"The food was great. The place is looks amazing. Great staff. Food was flavorable and hot!"
"Just had lunch here with our oldest granddaughter. The Mexican Street Burrito is loaded with flavor. The steak quesodea was also very good. Mexican Street Carnitas are awesome, very tender pork. Quickly seated and fast service. Update...my wife and I split a lunch size chicken fajitas. Plenty for 2. Try the lunch #25. Delicious Steak Fajitas Burrito. Everything you love on a fajita plate rolled into a burrito. Ice cold stone mugs of Dos Equis Amber. Friendly staff."
"2.5 out of 5 is what I’d like to use, however, half stars aren’t an option so I’m rounding up in favor of the restaurant. We had 9 people with only four others in the entire restaurant—very UN-busy when we were there. Some food was warm, most was cold or room temperature. The dishes on which the food was served were literally too hot to touch which was a weird situation (cold food on a scalding plate). They were out of Sprite and cheese pizza. Mildly annoying but too big of a deal. Other reviews from months ago cited the exact same things so there’s a bit of a pattern here. The chicken dishes all appeared to be boiled rather than grilled and were rubbery. Presentation was excellent, though, and the tortillas were all excellent. Again, a weird mix of very bad with very good. The margaritas didn’t come with salt or sugar and neither were offered. This, too, was a little strange but ultimately forgivable. Even the fries were a mixed bag. One batch was piping hot with clearly fresh oil while another plate was clearly made in old oil and wasn’t cooked all the way. Overall, this was a seriously confusing visit because of the good mixed with the bad. The food that was good was good. But most of it was, at best, just okay. There are a ton of great reviews so it’s very likely we caught them on a bad day. I’d assess the problem really was that the kitchen wasn’t able to manage the orders all at once. This would explain why some were cold and some were fine. I’d be willing to try again but…not anytime soon."
