Reviews of Forsyth Park Inn
"We could not have asked for a nicer place to spend Valentine's Day! Full of 19th century charm, the rooms are spacious and elegantly appointed. Make sure to take advantage of the lovely and comfortable veranda. It was the perfect place for a post breakfast people watching session of Forsyth Park."
"This was such a beautiful BNB experience, located right across from Forsyth Park in the Southern Historic district. I am so happy that with all the hotels, I chose this one, and wish we could have stayed longer. All of the staff was friendly and helpful with our needs. The breakfast in the morning was amazing, and made with love. By far the best breakfast I have had in a BNB thus far. I want to warn not to book through expedia or third party apps, as they charge a huge commission, and the BNB itself only gets a small percentage. (I ended up spending $60 more because of this) Support small businesses."
"This is one of the best B&Bs we've ever stayed at. The location, right on Forsyth Park, is ideal (we didn't have a car, but heard no complaints about parking from anyone who did), with a stop on the free DOT circulator bus right at the inn. The house itself is a Victorian gem, very well and characteristically furnished. The front-office staff were welcoming, charming and very helpful. And the included breakfasts, different daily, were little hand-crafted masterpieces, to say nothing of the lagniappe happy hour and late-dessert spreads. The parlor cum dining room was a great spot to socialize. It was uncharacteristically too cold to use the garden or veranda, but in warmer weather they would be appealing. Long story short, we would gladly return here on our next visit to Savannah."
"We stayed in room #7 for the first part of our honeymoon and first time in Savannah! Also our first time in a bed and breakfast and it won’t be our last. Dwayne said it would be life changing and it definitely was. We absolutely loved our experience and Dwayne and the entire staff were incredible. He helped us narrow down things to do and even made reservations for us making it so easy and just pampered us the entire trip. The breakfast every morning was amazing, loved the variety and they thought of every detail! Happy hour was such a nice added bonus too. I can’t say enough about the location, Forsyth Park across the street was amazing and our daily routine was walking in the park after breakfast. I could go on and on, I can’t recommend this bed and breakfast enough! We will definitely be back!"
"This inn is across the street Forsyth park, so it is lovely to sit on the balcony see the park and be able to access it so easily. It is quite a walk to the river and everything else though. The service was impeccable. The food was delicious. Everyone was very friendly there’s water and tea out all day. Little desserts when you come back at night ! However, that being said we stayed in the cottage, and for what we paid, I was appalled at the condition it was in. Horrible linoleum flooring that looks like it was laid 50 years ago- in the bathroom and kitchenette. Some Furnishings were stained and very chipped up. Didn’t even want to lay my clothes on the chair. The little stove in the kitchen it was the sorriest little thing I have seen in a long time. The wallpaper in the bathroom is bubbled and peeling off . Bathroom, tub and shower need updating As well. To me, these are not expensive updates that they could easily make, especially for the cost of what we paid I would’ve expected much nicer. Also, the main door too our room had the interior lock removed. We would have felt more comfortable if we had an interior lock that no one had a key too."
