Reviews of Lowland
"Great spot with cozy vibes. Menu was not huge but we ordered almost everything on it between our large party and everything was fantastic. Can't go wrong. Wine and cocktails were fantastic as well! Also was happy they had high chairs as many newer charleston restaurants don't these days."
"The bar at Lowland in Downtown Charleston offers a captivating experience for cocktail enthusiasts. Renowned for their handcrafted cocktails, the menu boasts a delightful array of robust flavors that cater to diverse palates. Two standout creations, the "Single House" and "Midnight Rider," exemplify the bar's commitment to mixology excellence. The "Single House" cocktail is a symphony of flavors, blending premium spirits with meticulously chosen ingredients. Its nuanced profile showcases the bartenders' expertise in crafting a drink that strikes a perfect balance. Whether you're a fan of bold concoctions or subtle notes, the Single House delivers a memorable sipping experience. For those seeking a more adventurous option, the "Midnight Rider" proves to be a tantalizing tastebud symphony. This cocktail pushes boundaries with a daring fusion of unique elements, leaving patrons pleasantly surprised by its complexity and originality. The Midnight Rider is a testament to the bar's innovative approach to mixology, ensuring that each sip is a journey through diverse and harmonious flavors. "What amazing food, vibe and drinks. And amazing people/service from the manager to the bartender and everyone in between! Loved everything we ordered - the celery salad, tuna crudo, burger and wreckfish! Can't wait to be back!!"
"We had an exciting adventure at Lowland Tavern last night adjacent to the Pinch Hotel on George Street and sister restaurant to the Quinte. As soon as Brenda and I walked in we were impressed by the low lit romantic atmosphere as if we were in far off land. We were warmly greeted by manager Courtney and introduced to our server Chase. We were seated at a wonderful corner table served sparkling water with limes and delicious Tavern Martinis--KettleOne for Brenda and I had Citadelle. We started with the deviled eggs the pickles and the celery salad. As we sipped on our wonderful cocktails handcrafted by bartender Greg we saw a full house of well dressed happy customers with a low key vibe of relaxing conversations. For our main course Chase suggested we share the roasted Snapper and the Lobster Bucatini washed down with a bottle of Aglianico Blanco. And yes--there were very large mouthwatering portions of lobster in the pasta. Thank you Chef Jason for the Lowland Tavern adventure with over the top 5 star service ambience and gourmet dining."
"We are so lucky to have this new swanky restaurant a few blocks away from our Rachel Urso Real Estate firm on King street. It’s going to become a regular stomping ground for us - it is very upscale with beautiful decor in what I believe is a historic home. The drinks were delicious and the meal was divine. Romantic setting. Excellent service."
