"My friends and I went for breakfast. I had the fish and grits with scrambled eggs and toast. It was the best I've ever eaten. The grits were perfect. I didn't need to add any seasonings or butter. Even the toast was perfect. They also brought cornbread squares to the table while we waited on our food. Again.....the best I've had. It was drizzled with what I think was honey and had a light dusting of cinnamon. You can't go wrong with the lemonade either. They have an extensive menu so you can go for breakfast like we did or have lunch or dinner.. The restaurant is adjoined to the gas station next door, but don't let that stop you from enjoying the food there. You won't be disappointed. I forgot to take pictures of our plates before we ate."
"Very disappointing; 2 smothered pork chops w/ rice, green beans, and Mac n cheese. Out of everything I listed, none of it was good. They some how managed to mess up the green beans ( it’s hard to mess up green beans). The macaroni looked like it was scraped from the bottom of the pot. Wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone, your better off going across the street to McDonald’s for better food at a cheaper price."
"The food was disgusting my fried chicken was supposed to be honey fried chicken it wasn’t no honey on my chicken. I couldn’t even eat my plate. I spend $40 on food to give to my dog. My chicken tasted like it was warm up from the night before. My Mac and cheese was nasty and my corn bread was dry and not sweet. The drinks always be too sweet too much sugar. The customer service is really great. Will never eat here again."
"The fried chicken wings were hot and delicious . I also enjoyed shrimp and grits with bacon. The dining area is spacious and since I ate there, complementary cornbread was served. The sweet tea was also great. The food is reasonably priced and full of SOUL. A menu full of Country Cooking. Must return for the other dishes. Easy to locate as you enter Sumter."
"Let me start with, the food was very good! Crust on fried chicken and pork chops was heavenly, the green beans and corn bursting with flavor and the shrimp and grits are drool worthy. If your heading through Sumter and looking for a delicious off the beaten track meal this location is it. It is attached to the gas station and the place is dated, but the staff was super friendly and brought out piping hot food. We had a show of gospel music to finish off lunch. It is not your typical restaurant, more like one of those hidden eclectic places that you stumble upon. My dad and I shared everything so we could have a taste of it all. It’s not fancy, it’s a bit worn, but the food is great."
