Grannys Famous Funnel Cake House

"We come every year this is the best little funnel cake shoppe I've ever been to and it's in one of the oldest buildings in Helen, full of history!!! And you can’t forget to take a picture with Granny!!! Their funnel cakes are the best I've ever had and I travel quite a lot and they cook it right in front of you. Oh and the pretzels are delicious especially with the beer cheese!! Most pretzels I've had have stayed out and have gotten stale but they put theirs right in the oven to cook when you order!! Recently I've had to have my service dog in training come with me everywhere they where very kind and respectful of her and her surrounding making sure she and I where as comfortable and stress free as possible!! They are so kind and hard working!! Thank you Granny’s y’all stay awesome!!!"

"When the tip option appeared on the screen after paying, they know who they are quickly assumed I didn’t know what to do, and quickly clicked the 25% tip option while I was reading the prices of the tip options on the screen, whilst saying “you just have to select one of these on the screen”. It’s not like I didn’t have any intentions on tipping, even though you literally did nothing service wise, I tip at any drink or food establishment, I’ve been a actual server so I know how it is on tips, but come on. I did not want to make a scene, I don’t even care that much about the price I just don’t like shiesty behavior. the place was dirty even the low traffic areas, the decor was quite off-putting; the expired coke bottles, the statue. Other than that the ice cream was good though, thanks for that I guess."

"This is a dingy little place. The funnel cake was under done and greasy. Obviously the temperature of the oil is not right. Just not good. And the funnel cake is overpriced. A little way down the street they are charging six dollars for funnel cake and it’s better."

"Funnel cake tasted good but everything was SO overpriced now and the place needs a serious wipe down with a hot washcloth and some soap. Everything is sticky. Used to love this place but not sure it’s worth $16 for a funnel cake ($9) with strawberries($5) and whip cream ($2)!"
