"I used to love this place when Dr. Tasha Boone was there. It was the absolute best place to go to. Now it is the absolute worst! I can never get an appointment. I am a current patient, I filled out all the documentation before arriving and I accidentally left my wallet and they refused to see me. It’s always something with this place."
"-STAR RATING.....Well, let me start by saying that I may be one of Dr. Boone's oldest patients. I have been with her since she was at the practice on Gervais Street in Columbia SC. Dr. Boone use to be a very compassionate and caring person. The past few years I have noticed a change. Her staff has never been the best but this new office staff is the worst!!!! Dr. Boone is not as approachable as before. There was a time where I could actually have a conversation with "MY" doctor.....no longer the case. This office never picks up the phone, when I do go in there's always someone there just playing around on the computer (I guess)...phone ringing. This office is not busy enough to not answer phones and/or return calls. I have requested refills several times and had to keep calling and leaving messages only to be ignored. It's sad that you have to actually physically make an appearance to get a prescription filled or have refills called in to your pharmacist....unbelievable the lack of professionalism this office has. I know the staff is separate from Dr. Boone but this is a reflection on her, the staff is a representation of her, she is still accountable. I am moving my care to another provider and I pray that Dr. Boone open her eyes before too late. There are many negative reviews towards her practice and she will soon be under investigation and potentially shut down. Take it from me, a long time patient.....please do your research and if at all possible go SOMEWHERE ELSE!"
"This is the most unprofessional doctor's office, I've ever encounter. First of all, no one ever answers the telephone. I had an appointment on September 16, 2019 and Dr. Boone was supposed to electronically send my prescriptions to the pharmacy. Well when I arrived at the pharmacy a day later...no prescriptions, she forgot to send my prescriptions, we tried to reach the office, noone answered for several days. After about two weeks of calling(myself and the pharmacist) attempting to reach someone, she sent the wrong prescription in. We then had to try to reach the office for a second time and guess what no answer. Eventually, I was able to leave messages with an answering service, who stated that they have been assigned to assist with answering the calls for Dr. Boone's office. It's been a month and I still hasn't received my correct prescriptions. On Monday, October 28, 2019, I was finally able to reach an actual person from the office. I spoke with Tiffany who is the nurse and she gave me an appointment for the next day. Well, I arrived at the practice the next day, the receptionist did not even acknowledge my presence, but hand signal for me to come through the side door. Once I got to the side counter, Tiffany gave me a letter dismissing me from the practice because I expressed concerns about their professionalism and them not being available via telephone. All I required is the same services that I have to pay for. The same way, she requires her payment upfront, I expect to receive professional and prompt services. Dr. Boone refused to see me or even listen at my concerns. She refused to even listen at some side effects that I was experiencing from a medication she prescribed. I am very disappointed because this isn't the same doctor that I established care with in February. I am not sure what's going on in the practice, but it is definitely affecting her reputation. I noticed that most of the reviews are similar in nature. I really wish she listens at her past patients because she has the potential to be a good doctor."
"New patient here. My experience was mostly positive. I've read other reviews that mentioned rude staff; however, everyone was friendly to me. If I have one complaint, it's that I was finally seen around noon for an 11am appointment. I expect doctors to be running a little behind at times, but an hour wait (when I arrived early) seemed a bit excessive to me. Other than that my visit was a pretty standard. It may be worth noting that I did not get to see Dr. Boone herself, but her nurse practitioner. Since I was only in for a checkup, that's perfectly fine by me, but other folks may have differing opinions. I have noticed another review mentioned a complaint about how long it takes to get medication refilled. 24-48 hours is the office policy and is very clearly outlined in the initial office paperwork I filled out. One more note of interest. Dr. Boone's office offers a discount (25%) if patients pay for services up front and Dr. Boone's office doesn't have to deal with the insurance company. I could see this being beneficial to the folks who don't have insurance, have minimal insurance, or who just don't mind dealing with their insurance companies."
