"My daughter is Autistic, and hates going to the doctors. But she loves Dr. Carter. We moved to Augusta in 2021, and she had not seen a doctor since we moved from Myrtle Beach in 2016 because no one in Columbia would take her as a new patient. We had to use doctor care or the ER. Dr. Carter saw us right away and said she would love to take my daughter as a patient. And now my daughter loves to go to the doctors. She goes without a fight, and she loves the nurses and ladies behind to the front desk. Thank you so much for taking us in ❤️"

"After finally getting an appointment 3 years later we've seen her twice (the second time to see if it's different). She asks my son questions, wants me to tell her things and that's it. No feedback of any kind, no next plans on what to do next, no diagnoses, just nothing. I'm essentially paying to have someone ask my son questions at an appointment once a year. I'm bummed because I thought I would be getting any information on how to help my son. Waited for so long and such a huge disappointment. We aren't going back."

"This "psychiatrist" is really not very professional. Psychiatrists are supposed to see their patients every 3-6 MONTHS, especially with medications involved. She hasn't seen my son in a year and a half. I had to make the decision to take him off of a medication that she was giving him because that drug, paired with his other meds cause constipation AND memory loss. Not "might cause", the warnings state that it WILL cause these issues. My son has had to have medical intervention because of the constipation that was slowly killing his intestines. She put my son on a medication that she KNEW caused these issues, without a second thought. Not just that, but she's also refusing to send medical files to his NEW psychiatrist because she's upset about losing a patient. A patient she hasn't had anything to do with in over a year. The new psychiatrist has sent multiple requests for the files, and has been flat out denied access to the files. So, that's what you have to look forward to if you pick this woman."

"Dr. Karen Carter and her outstanding staff are always professional, personal, and dedicated to helping out all of their patience. My daughter has been going to her clinic, we have visited her in many different locations, since she was 4, she is now 26 and still going to see her. I now make the drive from Stone Mountain Georgia, as for I could not find a better doctor, worth the drive. You will not regret the decision to see this doctor."
