"I always avoid writing public reviews such as this. But this unnecessary two week delay experience was exacerbated by a rude member of the administration. I was told by my doctor that I should see a urologist, and he made me believe it was a somewhat urgent matter. He sent a referral to Dr. Langley's office. After a week of waiting for Langley's office to call to set an appointment, I called them. I was told by a receptionist that I have two files (no reason given for this error) in their system, and neither contains a referral. I then called my doctor, who faxed the referral again. Three days later, still no acknowledgement of the referral from Langley's office. I then went to my doctor's office, picked up the paperwork including the fax log, and asked them to fax it again, and they did. Langley's office acknowledged receipt the same day, and I was told Jessica would call me to set an appointment. Four more days passed with no call from Langley's office, so I called them today. The receptionist told me no referral was received. She transferred me to Jessica, who also initially told me no referral was received. I indicated that the office acknowledged receipt four days prior. I was becoming frustrated, and it showed in my voice (no yelling, no rudeness, just frustration). Jessica felt the need to admonish me for that. No empathy at all, just admonishment. I explained I was worried. She told me she found the referral somehow then, and told me my condition was not urgent, so no appointment could be given for six to eight weeks (I'd made everyone aware two weeks prior that I'm only here on the Island another three weeks). So, the admin person made the decision not to allow me to come in within the window I'm able. I hope she's correct in her diagnosis of me. I am now back to square one, with worry, and no appointment. Very, very unprofessional in every way."
