"Absolutely love the look of the place. Good was good just does not compare to our roots. Ribs was the best! Mustard sauce was beyond above standard so delicious. Don’t waste your time with the red sauce definitely not BBQ sauce. Pork skins were great if you like them. Chicken I’m sure was out of the oven. Hash was great. "Absolutely wonderful! Coming to Holly Hill on 176 all the way down is half the joy. Sweetman's itself is very historic restaurant here. Beautiful little Maddie told me it goes back quite a ways. We had a very old and long running Jolly Family Reunion there last Saturday. If I could escape family in social South Carolina perhaps I could live in Holly Hill and make music the rest of my life. The rat race in Orangeburg City and the Midlands is something could do without ever engaging in ever again for as long as I live. Sweetman's atmosphere, views and FOOD and CULTURE will bless the richest of the richest and the poorest as well like me! I can't wait to go back, just don't tell anyone up here.....shhhhh."

"Tried it for the first time last weekend and I am going This weekend, too!! Everyone was so friendly!!! Staff and customers alike!! Pork plate was huge. Tender and moist with a nice hint of smoke. Chicken was awesome. Juicy and falling off the bone. Looking forward to their ribs and pork hash, and will try the banana pudding!! Great job Everyone!! Update: Sweatman's has become my Saturday ritual!!! Absolutely love the staff!!! Everyone is so helpful and friendly!! The epitome of southern hospitality!!!!"

"Been wantin to try Sweatman's BBQ out for years but just never find myself in the Holly Hill area. Well finally made some time and headed over there with the parents and were waiting out front when they opened the door. Got the pulled pork plate with a side of hash an rice and mac n cheese. Hash (my favorite part of SC BBQ) was absolutely delicious. Sweet tastin with that tangy tomato flavor you usually find in this part of SC. Pulled pork was juicy and tender and bursting with flavor. The old man got the whole bbq chicken and that thing was slappin as well. If you are lookin for a big helpin of authentic tradtional SC BBQ at a good price this is a great place to come to. Got me a t-shirt and a bottle of sauce (mustard of course) for the road. Will return!"

"This was our first time at Sweatman's. The Rib dinner was incredible. The biggest surprise was the mustard BBQ sauce. We loved it so much that we bought two bottles. The Hash and rice had great flavor and we left with a quart of banana pudding."
