Reviews of Nancy N. and J.C Lewis Cancer & Research Pavilion
"Pretty much everything is great, the nurses are nice and have taken care of me. But the food selection is not good. I filled out a menu and they keep bringing me things that I didn’t ask for and I don’t eat. This results in me not eating and throwing away food (like salmon, I don’t eat salmon at all). I am not able get my strength back after the surgery because they aren’t properly feeding me. I don’t understand, I’ve asked them many times. No one seems to be listening to me in this regard, and they won’t take it back and get me something I will actually eat."
"The staff were extraordinary every visit. Nurses always were very thorough in their work, especially in evaluating the patient for any side effects from chemo treatment. The fact that they remain positive and upbeat throughout all the sadness and sickness they encounter daily, says a lot about the character of person. You have to go into this specialty for the right reasons, no way you could see this much heartache that people are facing and choose to do this for the money. The heart has to be there as well and you felt that. Although there are many heartaches , I’m sure there are Also happy, courageous moments for the person fighting against such a terrible disease. And seeing those moments as well is rewarding in itself. Thank you to this entire staff at the infusion center for making the visits easier to bare and push through at times. Your hard work and dedication did not go unnoticed. You are greatly appreciated ,even if sometimes it isn’t shown. ❤️❤️"
"I have been a patient of Dr. Spellman for about a year now. I am impressed with the ladies at the front desk. They know me by name and is very friendly and helpful. The infusion staff is overly friendly and helpful as well. I feel like I am in capable hands when I am there. I had a few hiccups but I feel Dr Spellman, Vanessa and Caroline, the pharmacist has help me solve that frustrating issue of getting my home meds delivered in a timely manner. Keep up the caring and good work."
"I’ve been a patient here for a number of years. The doctors, nurses and the staff are so pleasant thus making this place a pleasant environment. Upon entering the building you’re greeted with a smile. It’s not uncommon to enter one of the offices as the receptionists greet you with a smile and your name. Whichever treatment you receive from the staff of Nancy N. and J.C Lewis Cancer Pavilion will be a memorable experience."
"My experience being a patient with Genetic Counselor Jacob South was phenomenal. During my first appointment, he made me feel very comfortable and provided extensive information about my concerns. He was very easy to talk to and very educated in his field. When my test results came back, he brought me in almost immediately to give me my results. He gave me all the information I needed and more to be able to make decisions about my health. His secretary Anita was also wonderful and made me feel so welcome. I would highly recommend this office if you are looking to receive genetic counseling!"
