"My wife and I just returned home from Oconee Memorial hospital She had a rare fold or twist in her colon which totally blocked it. She was in extreme pain but we had no idea of the cause. We went to Oconee hospital emergency room. From the time we arrived we moved quickly through registration and testing. Dr. Scott ordered a CT scan, identified the issue and contacted surgeon Dr. David Lamon. I believe he was scheduled to leave the hospital but instead my wife was in surgery in 30 minutes. He saved her life!! Dr. Lamon was direct, factual and experienced. We had no doubt in his judgment or ability. Had we waited 6 more hours, her colon would have shutdown permanently and she would not have survived. Oconee hospital, the staff and especially the nurses were exceptional. We are both 79 years old and have seen a lot. This experience was incredible if not perfect in its outcome. Our thanks to Dr. Lamon. Dale and Carol Spiess"
