"Spent $240 and never got my state or federal taxes filed.. its July, and I filed with this store back in April! Went here because was told I had a special form that I needed filed due to the pandemic. When I went the associate said that was wrong - so never got that filed. Ended up with a very standard filing that I could have done on my own for free. Still don't have my taxes, and feel duped. Will never go to an hr block again. The IRS site is sufficient enough for me.. and Free and doesn't rob you"

"Very odd experience. While the tax associate was nice, they made a bunch of errors I was able to catch. While wrapping up, they gave me two wildly different amounts that I would owe and be refunded. When things didn’t seem right, I mentioned I won’t be going through with them for my return. The associate became agitated and informed me he had get his boss. They then attempt to have you sign multiple documents (don’t sign and read the fine print!). Very sketchy and uncomfortable experience."

"If I could give zero stars I would. We went here to file our taxes since my husband and I just got married and he had a 1099 misc for his business. First of all, our appointment was supposed to take an hour. We were there for over 2 hours. And during that time, WE were correcting the mistakes of the lady putting in our taxes left and right. She was clueless. We tried to tell her about deductions my husband should have because of his business but again, she was clueless and couldn't seem to figure it out. She never did anything with my health savings account or my tax deductible charitable giving, both a substantial amount to have deducted. At the end of it all, we ended up owing over $2,000 and it was going to cost over $500 to file with them. Needless to say, we said no and walked out without filing. 2 hours wasted. We went somewhere else to have our taxes done and wouldn't you know, we only spent $100 to have them done AND we only owe $430. Bottom line, do not trust these guys with your taxes, ESPECIALLY if you have more complicated taxes to file. They will botch it. And if you do file them here, get the insurance so that if and when they make a mistake, they're responsible for it. We will never come back to h & r Block."
