H&R Block

"My husband and I paid to have this location do our taxes and when I got a letter from the department of revenue asking for more information I called to have them send information to the department of revenue. When I called they said I had to talk to the specific agent that did my taxes and made me wait a week to talk to her by appointment. The day of the appointment some random person called and I asked why I wasn't talking to the person who had done my taxes they said she had another appointment that ran long and he could help me. I asked why I was made to wait a week when they could've just helped me a week ago then? They couldn't answer that question or help me send the appropriate information to the department of revenue. They assured us when we paid to have our taxes done here this kind of thing would fall under their purview. If I have to go back and redo my state taxes then why did I pay for this service in the first place?"

The tax preparer is the professional and should know what can and can't be done for the client. As well as advising the best interest of the client. I've been filing my taxes for 10 plus years and only ever had issues coming to H&R Block."

"Good efficient service and clearly an interest in what would work best for me. I have been doing my taxes online for a few years and I guess with the changes in the tax laws this year the online service didn't have much maneuver room. I did it partway and the online service already had told me I was getting nothing from Federal. I knew that had to be wrong so I went to HR Block and Diane found I was getting 2000 back from Federal. I feel more confident in a face to face situation with an expert anyhow. They can ask and answer questions in real time."
