"I have been dealing with finding the right counselor for my issues for well over a decade. Without going into too much detail, as a facility, Bright Side Counseling strikes a perfect balance in atmosphere and care of staff. The front desk staff is helpful when needed but not overly aggressive. The counselor I did meet at Bright Side was fantastic. I have made great progress with him so far and look forward to working through some things for the next few years. Unfortunately, he will be moving on to a new facility in the new year and I will be following him there, leaving Bright Side. As my counselor began the process of leaving Bright Side, I was contacted by their onboarding specialist. They of course offered me the opportunity to be matched with another counselor within their practice but in the same sentence offered to get me onboarded with my counselors new location so I didn't miss any sessions. You may not find the perfect counselor for you at Bright Side. All of our experiences, traumas and situations are unique and therefore require unique individuals to treat them. Personally, I have been through well over 10 before finding the person I am with now who I believe has the best chance at helping me so far. All I want you to know about Bright Side is that even if they cant help you and your specific situation, they will help get you to wherever and whoever has the best skillset to help you with your situation. Just don't give up. Side Note, don't let the outside of the location fool you. Once you walk inside everything changes."
"I am very disappointed it the Brightside website. I cancelled my services a month ago and just received an invoice that is going to pull funds in a few days. The website won't allow me to remove my card. It won't allow me to confirm that my services are cancelled. There is no phone number to call. There is only a "support" email address and even that was hard to find on the website. I have emailed them, but I feel lost as to how to fix this since the card is attached to my HSA. I received great help from the therapists there, but now I would suggest not using them unless you want to find yourself where I am."
"Dr. Ken has been such an incredible help to me not only for the reason I came to see him for counseling, but in every aspect of my life. He’s helped me understand what it looks like to live a healthy and free life. He’s also been immensely helpful in my journey of faith and living a life for Jesus. I thank God for leading me to Bright Side Counseling!"
"Michelle Stevens and Bright Side Counseling provide excellent direction when you are in a place of need. In fact, I've recommended Stevens and Brightside to 4 friends and collogues. I cannot recommend enough."
"My first visit to Bright Side Counseling was not what I had anticipated. The majority of my time with my counselor, Michelle Stevens, was spent listening to her tell me her life story, her trauma, her issues with her mother and her son and I left there feeling heavier than when I went in. I decided to give it a second chance thinking this was just her process and on my second visit I entered the office, sat in the waiting room a few minutes and then Ms. Stevens called in to the receptionist and told her she overslept and won't make our appointment. These were the words the receptionist repeated to me. I realize that happens but I took these 2 issues as red flags. I felt my entire experience here was negative and unprofessional. I thought long and hard before writing this review."
