"We placed an online order, received an email that it was ready for pickup. When we arrived we were told by the manager and staff that their system was “down” and the computer showed that our transaction was denied by our bank. Which was a blatant lie, the money came out of our account immediately. 218 dollars. They said we had to contact customer service and get them to cancel the order. We got the order canceled after speaking with customer service and confirming with the store manager. However they still have yet to refund me my 218 dollars after saying they would cancel order and refund money. The order was cancelled on December 11.I definitely would choose elsewhere to shop, this place is a waste."

"A few years ago l purchased a3 ton yellow jacket jack. i used it twice to lift my wife’s lexus and then to lift the golf cart. After lifting the cart the jack leaked oil on the floor. my next trip to Charleston l explained what happened and was quickly dismissed by the sales clerk. Was pondering whether to go higher with complaint when l received a letter stating my account/card would be closed if i was not used soon. Excuse me but no one tells me when to make purchases. I waited and sure enough they closed the account. I have a very good credit rating and this better not affect it."

"Purchased a generator here and took it back for repair and grew frustrated with the amount of time it took... almost 2 months. I was frustrated, then enters David Barefield (new manager from Savannah, GA). He checked on everything and assured me that the generator was repaired and waiting on me. I picked up the generator and met with David... first class gentleman! He apologized for the mishandling of the repair, he also applied a coupon for my trouble. David is why I rewrote this review and wish to continue to shop at Northern Tool. People make the difference in customer satisfaction."

"Nate is super friendly and so knowledgeable on all of the products. I couldn't find a very specific tire anywhere else, but he knew to ask me questions to ensure I got exactly what I needed. He was so friendly and made a stressful situation less stressful for me. I highly recommend Northern Tool because of this employee!"

"The customer service was good but the gentleman that tried to help me has no idea about the product I was looking at and advised me I correctly but a customer overheard the conversation and took over and gave the information I was seeking about the battery operated generator ."
