Reviews of Carolina Counseling Professionals
"100% will recommend to everyone who needs a place to feel comfortable and safe."
"This place is amazing, they truly try to help you, I would rate it more though if my therapist tamara didn't just give up on me during the hardest time in my life bc I missed a single appointment...maybe try another more helpful place"
"WARNING!!!…this is the most unprofessional therapeutic facility I’ve ever been involved with!! Stay far away!! I wanted help to deal with my mom so I gave this place a try. I was assigned to Donna Beebe and that lasted about 8 months. Huge mistake that turned out to be!! Anyway, I don’t really live very close to the facility so I had some issues keeping some of my appointments but if I was unable to make it I would always call and usually tried to give plenty of notice. A few week ago I had car problems, so I had no choice than to cancel out the last minute. I explained the situation to the lady at the front desk and I said I’d call back to reschedule…but when I called back to reschedule I was told by the same lady at the front desk that Donna Beebe closed my case due to too many missed appointments and that I’m now banned from going there again, which in a lot of ways may have been a blessing anyway because I did not find Mrs. Beebe particularly helpful anyway nor did I find the place run very professionally!! Most the times I went there there was nobody working reception. It just seemed very unprofessional however, I think it’s beyond unprofessional but actually completely UNETHTICAL how Mrs. Beebe closed my case like that! I had no clue that she even had an issue with my attendance as she never mentioned anything about it to me in any of my sessions, so I had no clue this was a problem with her! In the past when I’ve gone to professional therapy if the therapist was unhappy with something I was doing she would discuss it with me in a session but as I said, Mrs. Beebe never mentioned a word to me about this but instead she did the very cold, rude and nasty thing and just closed my case without warning and without so much as a reference to another therapist, which is actually considered a form of abandonment…which is a violation of a therapists medical ethics! Anyway, I decided to call the next day to speak with Mrs. Beebe’s supervisor to file a complaint but once again the same lady at the front desk said that there is no supervisor and that instead I could address my issues with her as she is the office manager. Keep in mind that this “office manager” is the same lady that leaves reception unattended on a regular basis! So I proceeded to explain my issues with how Mrs. Beebe closed my case and this “office manager” told me that since I signed a form agreeing to not miss x number of days that Mrs. Beebe had a right to dismiss me anyway she pleased! I told this “office manager” that they have left me no other choice than to file a complaint with the proper medical board…which is precisely what I’m in the process of doing now but I thought it be important that I also warn anyone that is considered going to Carolina Counseling to look elsewhere! As I said, in all my 53 years on that planet I’ve never experienced anything so unprofessional in a therapeutic setting before! It’s places like this that give therapists a very bad name!! As the saying goes, unfortunately in life you get what you pay for, and I only went to this facility because my Medicaid covered it but it’s obviously a joke of a place with the bottom of the barrel therapists. ...that’s if that is what these people are anyway? I’m questioning whether they truly are therapists since it’s ran so unprofessionally! My best suggestion is…If you can afford a professional therapist go to one because it’s better than saving money and dealing with this garbage or if you have absolutely no other choice and have to go here do NOT see Donna Beebe as she will coldly close your case without warning if you miss a session! I’m just grateful that I was not in any serious depression when she did that to me! I’m just imagining if someone was suicidal and they had Mrs. Beebe as their therapist only to have her abandon them like that! Absolutely despicable! Therapists are supposed to be caring and understanding but my experience with Mrs. Beebe and Carolina Counseling have been just the opposite! She and this facility need to be investigated and shut down! Disgraceful!"
"I cannot being to express my gratitude and admiration for Carolina Counseling. Not only was the environment clean, inviting, and comforting, but the service is compassionate and goes above and beyond any other therapeutic services I have sought for myself, or family members. Our provider was completely understanding of our unique schedule, and has supported my son through some of the toughest times of our lives. Not only did she aid him in his coping skills and emotional regulation, but she was a source of strength and patience for myself as well. My son loves her, and always wants to go back. I've seen him actively put into practice the tools she has supplied, and seen him grow in ways I never imagined. The team has been a Godsend to our family and I would refer anyone needing extra support to this practice in a heartbeat. The honesty, reliability, empathy, professionalism, and ability to balance fun with healing is such a blessing to my son and our family!"
"If you are looking for someone who can change your life, this is the place for you. I had been to several different therapists prior to coming to Carolina Counseling Professionals, but none of them were able to provide what I needed. When I found Dr. Herbert, she totally changed my life. She was able to give me the tools and perspective I needed and they proved to be life-changing. She is phenominal at what she does, and I cannot thank her enough for helping me get my life back and on track!"
