"Doctor Orr doesn't respect the bodily autonomy of childfree individuals. Nurse Karen doesn't know the difference between a salpingectomy and an oophorectomy. A 40 year old with PCOS shouldn't have to fight tooth and nail to get sterilized and remove her uterus if that's what she wants to do. Not everyone wants kids. Frustrating experience. I'm guessing her religious beliefs make her so reluctant to do what I'm requesting, but my organs don't care about your religion. I'm seeking care elsewhere. Update: Dr Orr requested an ultrasound to find IUD strings that, per my new doctor wasn't even necessary. New GYN was able to see them CLEARLY, without an ultrasound! I also have my surgery scheduled, and it's exactly what I need. So not only does Dr Orr refuse to listen to and/or provide necessary services to childfree folks, she's also padding on extra services so that she can fraudulently bill your insurance more. I'm pissed. I guess you can't spell horrible without Orr. Final update: New doctor actually listens to my concerns, and she discovered that I had endometriosis, which Dr Orr never even bothered to check. Anyway, I'm now uterus-free, while keeping my ovaries to prevent premature menopause - the exact surgery I requested that Dr Orr refused. Anyway I'm happy with the medical staff at MUSC. I suggest you go there instead. :)"
