"I would not recommend working with this company. We hired them based on good reviews and unfortunately have had a very bad experience that we are still dealing with over a year later. In short, their initial work was sloppy. In the long run, due to improper installation, they flooded our crawl space for months without us knowing. This caused our floor joists to soak up the moisture like a sponge, sagging our floors, and mold of course. Since the incident they have been completely silent and have left us to fight with their insurance company on our own, who have been an absolute nightmare to deal with. We have asked for the absolute bare minimum to fix the problem (saving them 10’s of thousands of dollars because we just want to get this fixed and be done with it) and we have been dismissed, lied to, passed off, gaslit, and stone walled by their ins. company. Read on for more details… They came out in October 2022 to install an A/C unit, heat pump, and air handler. They damaged our floors while cutting a hole for the inlet duct. At the time I was willing to overlook this as it was cosmetic. When they left they said they would be back the next day to install a condensation pump. They didn’t, and we didn’t find it until January 2023. We called and they came out the next day to install it. Thinking the job was done, we went about our lives. In August 2023, our floors were starting to sag to the point of separating. My husband went to try to figure it out as we had some support piers and i-beams installed in July 2022 and as of December 2022 our foundation company said everything looked good. When my husband checked, he found that T-HVAC had routed the condensation pump drain line INTO the crawl space. In other words, from Jan 2023 – August 2023 the condensation pump had been dumping 5+ gallons of water into our crawl space PER DAY. Needless to say he found a massive mud pit, mold, etc. right next to our air hander and new piers. Of course my husband immediately routed the drain line outside. We called them and they installed a closet dehumidifier and were dismissive of the whole situation. Next, our foundation company came out and he explained that the reason our floors are sagging is because there is so much moisture that our joists are soaking it up and relaxing around the I-beams. We then called two more crawl space companies to get other opinions. All three companies agreed the only way to fix the damage caused by the improperly installed condensation pump is to install a vapor barrier and proper dehumidifier system. We also installed moisture sensors under the house and monitored them. 75-89% moisture readings were the norm. We wrote T-HVAC a letter detailing everything. They did not respond but sent a claim to their insurance company. When their ins. company contacted us, they told us that T-HVAC only admitted to the floors so that’s all they would cover and we would have to sign something saying we wouldn’t sue. The ins. suggested we call our homeowners ins. and get it sorted with them. We called our ins. company and they were furious. They called for us and were told that T-HVAC had admitted fault to everything, and we were given a different contact. So, their ins. company lied to us and passed us off to someone else. Since then, we have explained every detail, and every email we receive is belittling, dismissive, and gaslighting. They refuse to fix the issue and have offered 1/3 of our bare minimum which is completely unacceptable. This is by far the worst experience I’ve ever had with a company. I don’t write bad reviews. I prefer to give benefit of the doubt, to see things as someone having a bad day, mistakes happen, etc. and let it ride. But this, no. This has been over a year of a bad experience. My house is in danger, every day I’m breathing moldy crawl space air, I’m fighting with an insurance company which frankly I don’t think should be my job. I didn’t mess this up, they did. It’s their insurance company, they should be fighting with them. But here we are. I do not recommend working with this company."
