"Buyers beware. We just got a $500 bill for penalties that we weren’t even aware of because they were never explained. We had an auto insurance through Monty Kirby State Farm and Home owners insurance through a different State Farm agent. We’ll evidently if you go through different agents for different insurance coverage the company automatically bundles the two together without your authorization. We decided to cancel our auto insurnace in January for a cheaper option. So in March we pay our home owners insurance in full for the year like we always do. It’s may and We just now get a bill from State Farm claiming since they bundled our insurances together (without our knowledge or consent) we have lost the home owners insurance discount and now owe $500 for the yearly insurance policy. We’ll whenever we called and canceled the auto insurance they never once informed us that we would be facing penalties for canceling our auto insurance due to the bundling that we never authorized. Now if we don’t pay the penalties they’re going to cancel our home owners insurance and only give us back a portion of what we paid in full. It’s very sad and disrespectful that they would do this to customers who’s family has been insured with them for over 30 years!!!! We only went through State Farm because we felt safe and secure having that much history with them. And to make matters worse we have been given the run around for the last few hours on the phone trying to get this matter settled. Our very first call Ruth was very rude and unprofessional. She even went as far as to hanging up on my wife. We are canceling every policy we have with them and our family who has numerous insurance policies with them(home owners, cars, jet skis and golf carts) are doing the same thing. Please make sure when you are shopping for policies that you ask for details that they are not going to willingly share with you."
