Reviews of Kaminsky's Dessert Cafe
"Love the location, friendly service and delicious desserts and drinks. Columbia location is my preference for size but same great menu and offerings here. Perfectly located on Market St, adjacent to restauarants and shopping."
"This place is pretty small, so expect a bit of a wait. They have a good selection of cakes, milkshakes, and pies. Definitely a good spot to take a break from shopping."
"We walked in and were immediately welcomed by friendly staff. Although they did not have the cheesecake we wanted, the waiter made a great recommendation of a cake that would make for a great substitute. She ordered the red velvet cake which was indeed very velvety. I ordered the mountain of chocolate cake… this was different than chocolate cake I’ve had in the past. The chocolate was a mix of really sweet and a little salty. I got it a la mode which made it just that much better. It got busy right before we left and they seemed to do a good job of shuffling around to get people seated and taken care of. Overall very good experience. I would recommend and I will be coming back."
"We came here for an afternoon coffee and pie and had a lovely time. We ordered a black coffee, a slice of bourbon pecan pie, and a slice of key lime pie. The coffee was good and the pie was great, but nothing too special. The key lime pie was rather tart but still tasted delicious. Definitely would come back to try the mixed berry cobbler since they didn’t have it today. Service was good and we had a great experience!"
"We went later in the evening around 8 pm and had to wait 45-50 minutes for a table with a party of 6. Originally, when we went in and looked around, there were several dessert choices available and by the time we got seated and ready to order they were very limited selection left...so if you want all the menu options out of the fresh bakery display case go early! We ordered a slice of churro de Leche cake, caramel pecan chocolate chip cookie pie, brownie sundae, bananas foster adult milkshake, wake up call adult milkshake, and drunken cookie adult milkshake. The brownie sundae was very disappointing as the brownie was overcooked and hard. Also, the ice cream was over half melted by the time we got fresh silverware. The churro de Leche cake was dry, and the frosting was very artificial flavor. The pecan chocolate chip cookie was okay but still not rewarding for the long wait. The adult milkshakes had a wonderful flavor, and the drunken cookie was by far the best of all the desserts. We were disappointed after the long wait and the reviews that we had heard. The place is overrated and should be skipped, especially late in the evening."
