"I was referred to Nason by a friend. But Wow. This has been the most painful tax process I have ever had. We had a normal W-2 and a small business for my wife. My wife and I sat down for a consultation when we turned in all our documents in March. When we met they had mentioned there will be an additional fee for an extension that needed to be filed. No worries, I totally understand. I asked how much their services were going to cost. I was told at that time it would be $500 and a bit more for extension. We left feeling confident they knew what they were doing. I usually do my taxes myself online, but wanted to make sure my wife as a business owner was getting all discounts she deserved as a female business owner. Then they went dark for a month and a half.... I reached out and they said they need more documents and they had sent an email requesting a document. I missed their email when they sent it, I take full responsibility. But in a professional manor, if I didn't get a response via email, I would call and make sure you received my request. Not these guys. I followed up no less than 8 times the following months and they never called me back after leaving multiple voicemails ( I did speak with front office staff only to be asked to leave a voicemail with the accountant doing the work. One of the last times, I stated I am disappointed in their services and just want it done, I asked what my bill was, their front office stated $550-$575, which aligned with the previously stated amount $500 with extension. July 28th comes and their paperwork states this all needs completed and mailed by Aug 1st...... Perfect. 5 Month Later. Not expectable & not professional. Last week my wife went in to pay our bill, when she showed up that balance was now $1250. She said that didn't sound right but paid the bill. I found out later that afternoon and called. I spoke with front office and said that is not what was communicated over the last 5 months, She said please leave a message for owner. The owner calls me this morning after I left her a stern voicemail last week. I told her again that this price was not communicated the whole time, even when she did our first consultation. She said, when she spoke to her staff, she stated that my wife called in and inquired about the cost but didn't know the business structure and how they needed to charge for personal and out small business, That is a lie. My wife never called. I was only one to call. I set up the original consultation and was the only one to call. I told her that is not the truth, she said that is what happened.... She said she discounted what it should have been because of some staffing issues over last few months. I said, ok if this how you to leave it, she said yes and we hung up. To that I say, I would not recommend this company to anyone. I don't feel they are competent to communicate through the process, they are not clear on billing and from my experience I don't feel like they were truthful. I am not a difficult person, I am professional, when I am paying for a service as serious as a tax return, I do expect to have a company be prompt, professional and communicate clearly. Please save your time and money and look elsewhere."
