"Course was ok. Starter ruined the round and my friend Mikes bachelor party due to how rude he was to our group. Not to mention he yelled at us for pace of play when we were waiting on every box Seemed like he had a vendetta against a group of guys having a good time. Feel sorry for him. Not sure how you can be so miserable when all you need to do is overcharge for a round of golf at a subpar course. Snack bar hotdogs and drinks were good though."

"Solid course. Awesome bay views on the back nine. Tee shots are a decent challenge…low cut and firm fast fairways. The challenge is the approach and around the greens. These were some of the firmest fastest greens I’ve ever played on, and super undulated too! Give yourself 4&1/2 to 5hr for a round. This place gets very busy and lots of play"

"This course has a welcome to our neighborhood vibe. Great for all levels of skill. This is a walkable course with very little elevation changes, but don't be confused. All the challenges are in the short game on and around the greens. They have a driving range, putting green and large practice area with 2 large practice greens and a chipping green. Highly recommend."

""The Muni" Charleston Municipal Golf Course Charleston, SC If you're looking for a fun golf course to play straight up for a score or have a friendly match-play, this is at the top of that list. If you're also looking for a course that has some classic details, you can't miss here either. The Muni has been at the heart of public golf in Charleston since 1929, when 120 acres were donated to always be a public course available for everyone. In the fall of 2020, they completed renovations to the course that used Seth Raynors template holes. You can enjoy a Redan, Edan, Short, Cape, Road, Punch Bowl, and others at this course. I personally enjoyed the bunkering and the fact they made the green complexes a little more beefed up. It's Seth Raynor²! The greens run a steady pace(it's a muni, after all). I recommend some practice swings on the driving range so you can get a feel for the elements of the course. It's a firm track, and running balls up rather than flying them all the way needs to be in the back of your mind. The southern charm, live oaks draped in mossy oak will remind you quickly that you're in the heart of the south. The grill opens early and stays late. This is a foodie treat for sure. Breakfast and lunch come highly recommended. Beware not to cause traffic issues and keep them balls out of the highway!"

"This Muni has a lot of character. You’ll see guys mention the greens a lot. This is a Seth Raynor design and he purposely made them difficult and interesting. There are valleys and ridges everywhere. They are a challenge to hold and it takes some skill to know the correct approach shot. Out of towners will pay between $30-40 a round and $20 for a cart. The greens could be in a little better shape over all but it’s a Muni, you can’t get angry at them. Holes 12 and 13 are so good and feel like a different course altogether. They have their own Lager as well."
