Veterans High School

"Not a school you want your children at. Go to another county! This school is ok with bullies and drugs. By this I mean they let a kid that was arrested for fighting and drugs within 2 weeks of each other walk with their graduating class. The Superintendent and Principal need to both be replaced since they are ok with this."

"this is the worst school that you could go to.it is lame and the rules are TOO strict. I would not recommend going here. Our teachers don't know how to teach and we waste 8 hours of our life coming here to learn noting. The teachers are annoying and don't help you when you need it. I am only a freshman and ready to get out of here by next year and move to a different school. Lastly our sports suck!!!! I thought high school was supposed to be fun while learning, but you cant do that here at veterans."

"i haven't had one good incounter with this school. The school staff as well as the office staff are very rude and unhelpful. This school is far from caring for their students and are more worried about getting paid as to whether or not students get the help they need and deserve. The counselors as well as the principals told me and my parents that there is no reason to worry about failing grades because you could simply "take the class again" and also stated that "my grades are bad because my mother switched my schools in the 4th grade" .I was very dissapointed in the way they handled this and didn't care for me or my grades! I wouldn't recommend this school to anyone who is looking to move school or simply looking for a better school. THIS IS THE WORST SCHOOL I HAVE EVER ENCOUNTERED!!!!!!!!!"

"Couldn't love this school more if I tried. Coming from a small private school, Veterans definitely broadened my horizon and opened up numerous opportunities. The teachers I had were involved in making sure I was successful and the friends I made there will carry on throughout my life. The only thing I would change would be my time there because it flew by way to fast. Proud alumni #VSQUAD"

"Second time having my son in the HCBE district and second time a great disappointment. 1st time resulted in grade retention, 2nd time has proven to be an even bigger headache. Most dismal teacher representation for IEP meetings to date and student informs that teachers do not provide assistance when requested. Follow up parent/teacher meeting to address concerns was just as dismal and disappointing. Trying to get someone to do their administrative job is a pain to imply in the least. "I didn't get your email." during a follow up phone call from an email read receipt. Also, need to talk with supervisory personnel multiple times to get tasks accomplished. School driven policy which conflicts ISS with a prepaid event eventually equated out to theft by policy without any return contact when addressed. We can't leave soon enough!"
