S.R Hotel

"Was quite a shock. Wasn't aware Hilton Head even allowed such old and basic accommodations. We got over that and moved on. I will say it was clean and that is huge. First issue was no toilet paper. Tried to use phone to call office. Phone does not work. Office is in another building not particularly close in the rain. Figured one night with Kleenex would be livable. Next morning ask housekeeping. Assured us would send. Nope. Next day again, nope. Bought some and gave up. All in all a shabby place from the 70's. At check out you must: Strip your beds, bag and take out your trash, place all towels on floor. What???? Self service? Then we drove keys to office to return and they would not take them, had to drive back and put in a drop box. Oh, best part, ROACHES. In bathroom and woke up to one over bed above us. Disgusting. If spinnaker thinks placing guests in this place will promote sales they need a new CEO. We were offered an AMAZING deal. But if they can't treat the people they want to but like trash I can only image how they treat people once they've spent the money. Hilton vacations it will be for us."

"The nicest people work there. The guys at our sales presentation were the best. Not pushy,but great sales people. The room was very nice. No complaints.all of their properties are fantastic but blue water is the best on the island"

"Gorgeous location, however my first night there; I was put in an unclean room. Which they knew already was unclean because I ran into the people they attempted to put in the room first. However, I asked to be put in another room; I was made to stay in the unclean room until the next day without reason. And staff was very unfriendly from checking in to making me stay in an unclean room. Therefore, I was very uncomfortable, unhappy and had my mind made up about the company. Next day, the staff was friendly and put me in another room, however the water took forever to warm up for a decent shower. At that point, I was just ready for everything to be over. If it wasn’t for the area and nearby restaurants, the trip would have been a total bust! I don’t see myself returning to this resort anytime soon. However, I’ll return to HILTON HEAD ISLAND; hopefully to a better stay in another a better resort. I can’t do outdated and bare minimum. Stayed in building C I believe. After my first night there, I couldn’t even consider a timeshare there. First night impressions turned me all the way off, and I made myself clear the next day. First impressions matters. Do better."

"This is our second time at Spinnaker. Me and my husband came to celebrate our anniversary the first time, we enjoyed it so we brought our kids the second time. Both times we had to do a timeshare. The first time we really considered it and said we would actually think about it. The second time however we got the nastiest lady. Everyone was getting greeted as Mr/Mrs and she just walked up to us and said “y’all ready” in the rudest way. Even the front desk staff was shocked. As soon as we sat down she complained how they pulled her out her car to do this and she was suppose to be going home. I mean we didn’t care about any of that. I immediately knew our answer would be no. She even said “why are y’all vacationing on the island if y’all are two minutes up the road” like who says that. Eventually I went and complained to her manager Todd who was very sweet and took care of us, and he didn’t seem surprised by her actions. Other than that, the resort is nice and the staff is always friendly."

"Amazing stay with SR by way of Spinnaker. Stayed in building B. The grounds are very well kept and the rooms have a studio condo type of vibe with hard wood floors and high ceilings. The rooms are older but have been maintained, other than our toilet flushing slowly, everything else was PERFECT. Nice little balconies all over and the A/C worked Perfect. Anytime we needed anything, there was always someone to get it for us or let us know where to pick it up. Oh, there was a microwave and refrigerator that always comes in handy. There are plenty of restaurants and grocery stores nearby as well."
