Super 8 by Wyndham Savannah

"The stay was Ok. That’s it. I like that it was by the highway I was coming down from up north on a business trip. Room was outdated, thankfully the sheets were clean (I hope) but the room and bathroom needed work especially I saw hairs and dirt everywhere. The hairdryer almost exploded it was broken and when I turned it on it made loud and crazy sounds. The shower was weird but good hot water when it was cold outside. Heat was ok. One phone didn’t work but the one by the bed did. Got an old Georgia vibe but of course I was in Savannah. Didn’t have the breakfast because I was in a rush to leave. Staff was nice but the rooms need updating and work. Cleaning staff needs to do a better job. You get what you pay for."

"While the hotel itself was decent, a couple of aspects left much to be desired. The breakfast offered was disappointing, primarily consisting of carb-heavy options with no healthier choices. Moreover, the breakfast area had a constantly noisy promotional TV, which made it challenging to enjoy the meal or have a conversation."

"The room was dark with not enough lamps or overhead light. It was hard to get the room comfortable enough temperature wise. The water pressure in the shower was low and the water was either too cold or too hot. The shower curtain and room curtain had stains. The hairdryer housing was falling off the wall and wobbled/rattled when in use. Breakfast was 6 types of starch and devoid of protein except for the milk I poured on my cereal. The internet was fast, though, and the cable offerings were decent. Also, it was quiet after 10 and I was able to sleep okay, though not great."

The customer service deserves special commendation. The staff members were consistently friendly, helpful, and attentive to guests' needs. From the front desk to the housekeeping and restaurant staff, everyone went above and beyond to ensure a positive experience. Their warm hospitality added an extra layer of satisfaction to my stay. However, if there's an area this hotel could improve, it would be in the breakfast options. While the provided breakfast was decent, I believe there is room for enhancement in terms of variety and quality. Adding more diverse and fresh options to the breakfast menu could elevate the overall dining experience for guests. In conclusion, Super 8 Savannah offers exceptional value for money, maintains high standards of cleanliness, and provides excellent customer service. It's a solid choice for travelers looking for a comfortable and budget-friendly stay. Although the breakfast options could be improved, the overall positive aspects of the hotel make it a highly recommendable choice for a satisfying stay."

"a pleasant surprise for a night's stay. We were passing through and needed a place to stay for the night. Super8 was relatively inexpensive which was the first thing to draw my attention. The pictures of the property met many of my criteria: easy access to interstate, restaurants nearby, interior doors, no carpet in guestroom. The sitting area was a plus. Even though the pictures on the website made it look very nice, we really didn't expect it to look like the pictures. But it did. Exterior and interiors were updated and cared for. (The hallway floors did need mopping but it was getting pretty late.) Check-in and check-out were easy. The guestroom was pretty large with the sitting area. The bed and pillows were comfortable. The room temperature was easy to control. The microwave and mini-fridge were in a cabinet and not just sitting on the floor. The shower/tub had been redone and looked great, very clean. The only negative: the sofa in the sitting area had stained cushions so we chose not to sit on it or the chair in the sitting area. Breakfast is a notch above basic (basic being store-bought mini-muffins) and while there was no hot cooked food like eggs or bacon, there was instant oatmeal, cereal, the usual waffle maker and various breads. Overall, we would stay here again and would recommend it to others either staying in Savannah or passing through."
