"Absolute gem. The husband and wife who run the hotel are very attentive and seem to really care about their guests experience. Washington is very rural and we arrived late. We had great instructions from Brittany on the self check in process and the hotel was decorated with the cutest Christmas decorations and Christmas music. We felt instantly at home walking into the lobby. Our room was clean, light and tv on in our room for our arrival, had today’s newspaper on the nightstand. The hotel its self was extremely charming and felt like you went back in time. I also wanted to note, Brittany, her husband, and their child were all sick the week we visited yet the customer service was superb even though we never spoke or saw each other. We will be staying again next time we come down!"
"We loved the beauty of the historical hotel. It was clean, quiet and we had a good night’s sleep in the comfy bed. We enjoy traveling off the interstate routes in order to see the small towns. The self-check system for our after 7:00pm arrival suited us just fine, as we’d done the check-in by phone earlier in the day. The 24 hr. open room for grab and go snacks/soft drinks, coffee and fruit is a nice touch for coming in. My only suggestion for improvement would be that a better offering for breakfast be put in place. For example available hot water and microwave so pkgs. of instant oatmeal and grits could be left for guests."
"Oof… We really wanted to enjoy our stay but, alas, we were quite unimpressed and disappointed. • Despite booking several rooms under one credit card many weeks in advance, we were informed the day before our arrival that the rooms needed separate credit cards from rack of the parties before 5:00 that day or we would lose the rooms. What a pain. • upon arrival and checking in, we were greeted by a dirty room. Dust, a wad of human hair and various fingernail clipping just pushed over into the corner. Unacceptable! To be fair, they did send someone up to quickly clean but still, not quite the greeting we were hoping for. • Saturday morning… no coffee. Really?? The Nespresso machine malfunctioned and only spit out hot water. No coffee. We texted Brittany and we’re told that we must have broken the machine and, if we needed coffee (we did!) we should go to the convenience store “a block away” Seriously this was not a good experience. Also, the place was unstaffed for a majority of our stay. Unacceptable in every aspect."
"We rented out the sky room at The Fitzpatrick Hotel, for my daughter's 15th birthday. We reached out to a few venues & only heard back from the Fitzpatrick Hotel. Ultimately, the Fitzpatrick was my daughter's #1 choice because of the beautiful historic style of this hotel. We set up a phone call with Brittany Buttrey quickly and toured the hotel that weekend. The hotel is stunning and Brittany & her husband have done an amazing job renovating it. We fell in love with the venue & moved forward with the booking. The rental price was more than reasonable. Brittany provided us an abundance of choices for catering (from their attached restaurant Maddy's Pub). The delicious catering was priced incredibly well with larger than expected portion sizes. Communication to get all of the details set up was easy breezy & we didn't feel rushed to leave, when the party was over. I do not plan party's often but it could not have been any easier to set up with Brittany's help. I cannot rave enough about my experience with The Fitzpatrick Hotel and Brittany Buttrey. I would highly recommend checking them out weather it's for an event, a hotel stay or just grabbing a bite to eat!"
"I honestly don’t think you can get much better than this place. It has it all. History. Location. Amazing owners. Comfortable rooms. A great adjacent restaurant. We were there for my husband’s birthday and also to participate in a paranormal investigation, to which we were NOT disappointed. The room was beautiful and we loved the original fixtures like the claw foot tub and sink. Bed was comfortable but if I had any negative, it’d be that they need to offer firmer pillows but next time, I’ll just bring my own. No idea why it’s classified as a two star because it’s way better than most three to five stars we’ve stayed in. As someone who officiates weddings, I could see where this would be a perfect venue. We stayed in room 307 and the owner did mention that guests report issues with the television turning itself on. Ours kept turning off. It was a great night and a fun place to stay. If you love history, historical buildings, and chance ghostly encounters, THIS IS YOUR PLACE!! See the full review and investigation on our NewsBreak and YT channel, Travels with Tommy and Lori."
