Reviews of WoodSpring Suites Spartanburg Duncan I-85
"Rooms, building and the parking lot needs to be updated. I knew it was a hole in the wall when I turned into the parking lot. I had already booked the room and was to tired to go somewhere else"
"The place is a joke some one was shot here last week… they let people stay with out paying… rude to children I had to call corporate for them to tell me they had a few people call in to complain and after the shooting they are sending someone out to clean the place up so let’s hope so bc this is no place for families or children for sure!"
"I stayed here for almost 2 months maybe 3, and it started feeling like home! Especially with Mr, Maxie the GM, he really became like a father figure to me, he is the sweetest person there, and really helped me and my boyfriend out. I still go by sometimes and just talk with Mr, Maxie. He’s not just the GM he’s a really good friend to have that can become like family! Any concerns I had Mr, Maxie handled! I loved staying here and would recommend it to anyone!"
"This is supposed to be a non-smoking hotel but it definitely is not! The first room we checked into was very smoky. We asked for another room and it was better. The room seemed very clean so we stayed. The long hallway to walk to our room reeked of both fresh and stale smoke. The sign as you enter the front door of the hotel says no smoking within 25 ft yet plenty of guests hung out together there smoking their cigarettes. Even the front desk staff member was hanging out with them there leaving the front desk unstaffed. On Sunday morning as we went out for coffee (no coffee at this hotel), the front desk person was asleep in their chair! Pets are allowed here but the pet owners don't pick up their dog's poop. Needless to say, we will NEVER stay here again."
"I definitely do not recommend staying here. The hotel looks promising from the outside but once you actually start to stay it’s a different story. My family of four with two dogs only had two full sized beds which was extremely difficult to deal with since there wasn’t enough space for all of us. The rooms themselves aren’t too bad except for the fact that the bathroom vent is very loud and the kitchen has no supplies included. The service here is just horrible. You are only allowed 1 device on Wi-Fi at a time and to add more costs money. It also costs money to have your towels cleaned and to get new ones. Not to mention the fact that if you run out of toilet paper you can only get 1 roll at a time for a whole family! During our stay of only two weeks there was two different times where the fire alarm went off and we had to evacuate. The first time we had to stay out of our room for 5 hours at night. The second time it went of was at 1 am because someone burnt a corn dog. It’s a huge inconvenience for us and everyone staying here. The day after the first fire there was flooding in our room and others so, early in the morning, they walked in our room and looked around and spoke rudely to my father who was just trying to use the restroom. The manager had said to him “come on dude I just told you I was coming in here.” It’s unprofessional. The people here are not friendly for kids at all as well. They are loud and are all crackheads. My father was even asked for a clean needle by someone staying here while he was trying to walk our dogs. The manager, I believe his name was Maxie, had times where he could be nice but for the most part he was very rude. I do not recommend this hotel for anyone even if you are trying to stay on a budget. It is just not worth it at all."
