"Not only did he stand about as far away from us and our ten year old as possible in very corner of room like we were diseased, he never bothered using his stethoscope to listen to my ten years old heart, she’s been diagnosed by a better cardiologist then him by dysautonomia and he basically just referred to results from that appt the entire time, dismissed our concerns and touted or possibly even threatened to send us to another cardiologist because he’s the head of cardiology at prisma and he knows that she is not curable. I just have to say after all the horrible experiences we have had with prisma, with gastroenterology and now cardiology, including my own personal experiences with prisma - this doctor might be the most uncaring disgusting doctor I’ve ever met. I asked him have they been seeing a lot of kids with post COVID dysautonomia- and he said no. When I asked the woman who does the echocardiograms she told be absolutely! He lied. he is a lazy arrogant talker that realizes that there is not enough research on Dysautonomia and realize that the effects after Covid could be causing her symptoms but obviously in the past three years since this pandemic has made no effort or made no adjustment to re-educate himself in Dysautonomia or anything regarding the heart and how we can be affected by Dysautonomia . This is one of the laziest doctors I’ve ever met. I am absolutely disgusted. SHAME ON HIM. Prisma needs to start holding this horrible doctors and their shameful behaviors towards patients and staff accountable."
"Words cannot describe how unprofessional Dr. Jon Lucas was. Healthcare at Prisma continues to be unsatisfactory. I came to this doctor for what was supposed to be a second opinion. Upon arrival his front desk staff was incredibly rude and would rather talk about outside work events and parties, than to help/check in patients coming through the door. When we finally got back to the room with Dr. Lucas and my wife and daughter, he had obviously been in contact with the first cardiologist we saw. He DID NOT COMPLETE his own assessment of my daughter, but instead reviewed the notes of the other cardiologist and based his findings off of their assessment. The entire appointment was created for the sole purpose of getting second opinion after talking with my daughter’s pediatrician. That is NOT what was done. My daughter is 10 and has dysautonomia, she needs immediate help, as she is missing out on so much school and daily life events. This doctor came in the room, stood as far back from us as he possibly could without being in the hall (as if we were diseased) and did not listen to my daughter’s heart, check her skin, eyes, mouth, stomach, heart area, he did NO exam at all. I do however have an entire document from him in her MYCHART showing he did complete an entire exam. This is malpractice to fill out a document saying you completed a thorough exam of someone, when you did not. I will show it below. His only real suggestion for us was to have her wear compression socks. When we asked where we could find some for a child her age his response was “I don’t know”. This behavior honestly came as no shock to me and my wife, and my daughter, since we have been treated like this many time in healthcare facilities (especially PRISMA). There are so many doctors out there, and none of them seem to actually care about the health and wellbeing of their patients. What really shocked me the most, and what I find absolutely disgusting and unacceptable is that this doctors chart notes and “findings” in the MYCHART summary letter, his entire write up and assessment was an absolute lie. In his notes he states topics of conversations that were never had, he says he listened to heart- never picked up a stethoscope. Even after how HE treated us, dismissive – rude – not even completing an exam on my daughter – he has the nerve to write in her treatment notes “If there continues to be concern for a cardiac source for her complaints, I recommend an additional opinion with a different pediatric cardiology group in the region. I will be happy to provide contact information for any group in the country that the family would like to have evaluate.” What kind of pediatric cardiologist does this to a ten year old? You can be angry with parents all you want, but you are heartless doctor that shouldn’t be near a child. The environment of PRISMA is not conducive to real compassionate healthcare in the upstate, and the monopoly they hold in this area is criminal. Doctors like Jon Lucas should be severely reprimanded for his abhorrent behavior."
"The entire team is so friendly and amazing to work with. I will forever be thankful for Dr. Raunikar."
"Didnt have to wait long at all. Saw the doctor quick who ended up ordering an ultrasound which was also conducted quickly. All staff were very polite as well."
