"When MUSC says it’s “changing what’s possible”, they mean changing how long they can possibly keep you on hold. I waited 20 minutes to speak with someone. Once we were finally connected and I had verified all of my contact info, including my phone number, we got disconnected and I never received a call back so I had to do it all over again. Why verify my contact information if you don’t even use it????????"

"I had an 11:15AM appointment I made through their appointment service. I drove over 30 minutes to get their because the other location I normally go to was booked through the week. Right before I pulled in I got a call from someone at this location telling me that they could not see me and don't have the time in their schedule. I had a CONFIRMED appointment. I even offered to stay and wait until they could see me, I was told they couldn't even do that. What a joke. Wasted an hour going back and forth with zero compensation or effort in making this right. If you want to be treated like a human being see another office. The front desk is awful."

"The way this place operates is inefficient and is costing patients money. I have been twice for routine/annual physicals. Both times, they tell me to get blood work done after the visit. Then, I have to schedule another visit to discuss the results. If any new diagnosis comes of it, it’s coded to insurance as a NEW office visit, which means I have to pay. Why not get the blood work done BEFORE the visit? I lost $250 for this.. just ridiculous. Although I do enjoy my doctor there, it seriously seems like they are scheming for money. Be careful…"

"Great doctors and nurses - ABSOLUTELY ABYSMAL FRONT DESK SERVICE! • They have refused to inform the doctor that I was out of antidepressants and would be unable to get more until I booked a visit to see the doctor the following week. • They have told me that I would be responsible for the full doctor's visit balance in spite of MUSC being in my insurance network. This leading to more calls with my insurance to confirm that I didn't need to budget going to the doctor. After which the front desk person still refused to verbalize that I only had a copay and I decided to just deal with it later if I was charged for the full visit. I decided to write this review because I have been waiting on hold for 45 minutes - they answered after maybe 6 minutes and asked if I could hold again, thinking it would only be another few minutes I said yes (I probably should have just said what I needed then and there I guess?) The front desk genuinely makes me not want to book appointments or deal with medicine refills. I know they're just people and nobody's perfect but just do your job, that's why you're there. Maybe it's just me, but I sincerely dislike dealing with them."

"I waited 30 minutes in the parking lot for my "drive up flu shot." I was getting upset about the wait, but then the best nurse came out. She was friendly and knowledgeable. The shot was painless. She made me forget the wait time. They need more staff members in order to cut down the wait."
