"I was there as an adolescence and the staff are horrible and it needs to be shut down we slept a on mats on the floor and the food made everyone sick and they over medicated us and made us feel like we were nothing and I was called a bad person by multiple staff members and they took the wire out of one girls braces with pliers"
"This place is so atrocious. They have a cockroach infestation. It’s very ghetto for around $1k per night. I would rather go to a motel than there. That place is very traumatic. Some of the staff had issues of their own it felt like THEY should have been the one talking to the psychiatrist. The food was so janky and processed I felt like if I stayed there for a month I would have gained enough weight to go on my 600-pound life. And sharing showers was a little too much. Like please be for real. Anyhow, this place is very horrendous I legit thought it was a prison from the outside."
"The staff at this facility are NOT trained professionals!!! They are only required to have a high school diploma. My son was in crisis and they blocked our family from having contact with him because I told them that they could not tie him to a chair, but rather to call and allow me to talk him through it. They stepped all over our religion and were very disrespectful to us. Do not allow your loved ones to go to this facility. They will come back worse."
"I was sent here in 2018 in october during my foster years, my overall experence was alright and wasn't much complaints. their were some techs and nurses who took their power too far and tried to use it to make all of us feel bad but it was handled when a patient reported her for public humiliation. At the time i didnt have a home to go to so they let me stay for about 2 months or more till they knew i had some where to go. But at the same time i was dealing with court and had to have longer call times and have them a lot more frequently so i could talk to my case worker and my family so they knew how to testify. my requests were often refused even though i explained my situation. The food were decent and group therapy was nice. I didnt like being woken up for vitals so early in the moring but i understood the reasoning. Some things were traumatizing though, like seeing the little kids be treated aweful in the other room beside us where they had to be at least 5-9 years old, where the nurses treated them as if they were full grown adults who knew better, the way they treated them was so bad one of the little girls had to be in the pod area with the older teens with us, but her older sister was there with us too so it was alright. They did take away my books since they didn't follow the "rules" even though they were just fantasy books i often read anyways and it wasnt like i was going to share with a different person, i never did get my books back. So i would say this place was some what decent and better than the other wards ive been admitted into. Just a bit tweeks that need to be worked with, and it should be good. It didn't really help my depression or suicidal thoughts, but it gave me a much safer place to live at and i wasn't alone."
"I was a patient here in October 2018, the hospital wasn’t bad compared to my home situation, I appreciated the snack time and the routine. I honestly wanted to stay, at least until they agreed that my current home situation was not healthy for me. However, that didn’t happen. Instead, I was sent home early. In conclusion, my experiences with the hospital weren’t all bad. Though the staff doesn’t really care about your issues, they are only interested in doing the bare minimum of their job requirements. I was not the only child here that was struggling with home issues that got ignored, and for this reason I only give three stars. The overall idea is great, poor execution, though."
