"I have no complaints about his staff, only him. I was the patient referred by a family member. This family member had addiction problems & Dr. Mitchell knew that & actually quit treating her because of that. After catching this person stealing my medication, I learned that Dr. Mitchell was once again seeing her & prescribing pain meds to an addict. I called to inform them of the problem and they told ME not to come back. “Too much drama” was the exact words. I was told by several doctors that I did the right thing but to dismiss my need for pain management spoke volumes. Patient care is not priority to Dr. Mitchell. Compassion doesn't exist. For him to allow care for a drug dependent person that he had dismissed once before because of failing the pill count test. Enough said, we are just a number and he doesn't have time for those who actually need care. And if you know of someone who is an addict to pain meds in his practice, don't call him!"

"I have been a patient of Dr. Mitchell’s for over 4 years. He is the most competent doctor I have ever met. He talks to you like you are a person and not just someone he is going to make money off of by making you pain free! He is the best! Everybody in his office cares about you, but nobody more than his nurse, Heather. These people are phenomenal!!"

"This is the only review I've ever written for any doctor in my life. Probably because most have never given me the service or the kind of care that Dr. Mitchell and his staff has. Quick story. My back was killing me to the point that the pain had traveled down my left leg to my ankle. I was literately dragging my foot after taking tramadol, meloxicam and oxycodone (at the same time) for about a week. Finally, I called Dr. Mitchell's office and explain to Heather (the best assistant in the world) that I was getting married in 2 days and I couldn't walk. The next day got an emergency appointment and when I arrived at Dr. Mitchell's office the only position I could find that offered me any comfort was for me to lay on his waiting room floor. After giving me whatever it was he gave me. I walked out of his office and I walk down the aisle the next day which would have never happened without his help. This is the only place I will go for any pain issues I have. PERIOD!!! I swear to you this is a true story. Thank you Dr. Mitchell and Heather"

"I can not thank Dr. Mitchell and his amazing staff enough. I have several bulging disks in my neck that I was receiving treatment for by another pain doctor that has ZERO compassion for his patients nor did he respect his patients time and where you would wait a minimum of an hour and a half just to get into a room to only be seen for five minutes. Then he would completely blow off your concerns and was very arrogant. I was in such severe pain that I vomited and called the after hours number of the previous doctor on a Saturday then was completely blown off and told there was nothing he could do and that I was interrupting his dinner. Not only that, but I had missed 15 days of work due to the amount of pain I was in even with the two injections the previous doctor did into C7 and C5/6. Being self-employed with a small crew and several jobs going on with two children under two years old and not being able to sleep in my bed since a recliner is the only way I could find any comfort with an ice pack is a terrible quality of life. My primary care physician Dr. Mayes got me the referral to see Dr. Mitchell under an emergency situation, and he did what any good doctor is supposed to do; show compassion and try everything in his power to come up with a solution. His staff was excellent and moved mountains to get an MRI pushed through and was able to take a grown man who was near tears in pain back down to manageable level. My only regret is I wish I knew the names of his front office staff, the office manager, and nurse whom all deserve kudos. If you are considering a pain management doctor who will listen to you, show compassion, and come up with a game plan to help you while having very excellent bedside manner, I can not recommend Paul Mitchell Pain Management enough. I usually do not write reviews unless truly deserving and it is a shame when excellent service is not recognized which is why I am taking the time to write this review and post it where ever I can.
