"You dumb founded females that answer the phones in the front of the office need to get a clue! I pray you will have better manners when some one calls in instead of treating people poorly or like their stupid. I have heard the way you speak to others including myself more than 5 times. The next time you speak to me like that, y'all better know you brought what comes out of my mouth afterwards. I have had enough of Gretchen slamming the phone down multiple times when she is done talking... Im sick of the rudeness. We all put on our pants the same way! Who ever is the person in charge of this place please talk to your people... Your reviews are going down. It's not so pretty for you."
"I have been looking for a family doctor and found this office. I called to see if they were taking new patients. They were…so I exchanged my insurance information with the receptionist. At this point the receptionist gave me a rundown of the practice. She said they don’t prescribe certain medications. I told her I see a psychiatrist and he prescribes me medication for anxiety. She asked for my psychiatrist’s information. I then elected to tell her I’ve recently backed away from the medication he prescribed and have been off of it for over a month. I did however fill my last prescription and have it as a backup just in case I have a panic attack. It’s literally sitting in my cabinet. Those panic attacks will have me in the ER swearing I’m dying. Taking the meds if I absolutely have to is so much cheaper than an ER visit. They finally call me back a couple of days later. A lady runs down about the medication thing again and I immediately intervene to let her know I’m cool with it. Again, I just need a primary for general concerns and maybe some flu medication etc. if ever needed. Whoever the person was on the phone shot back with …. “you just filled your medication” . Like I was under some microscope. Or like I did something illegal. I’m not sure why a person other than the physician would know my medical history prior to even being a patient of that practice but ok. She then tells me…for me and my husband to be seen it would be 100 some odd dollars a person because we haven’t met our deductible. News to me because everywhere else has just charged us the co-pay. Then the cherry on top was…. we would have to pay upfront prior to making the appointment. I was basically told to call back when we can exchange some currency. At this point I was completely weirded out by the entire interaction. I’ve never dealt with anything like this when calling to make a simple first time doctors appointment. I’m not going to lie I felt judged and even violated. Yeah, I agree with all the others on here. There’s definitely something strange happening with that office area. I want no part of whatever is happening there ✌️"
"I would not recommend this place to ANYONE! I had to reschedule my appointment FIVE times, the last time I was instructed to reschedule my appointment I received no phone call to confirm the appointment. The lady over the phone was no help, rude, and did not seem to care about my issue but wanted to charge me $80. Very unprofessional!"
"They say … “Summerville Primary Care provides the highest quality, compassionate, comprehensive medical care for people of all ages. We believe that helping you feel better when you're sick or hurt is about more than bandages or medicine, it's about treating you with kindness and care.” This is far from the truth! IT IS A LIE! I called to make an appointment and was treated so badly! They were so rude and unprofessional. They know nothing about compassion and care. On top of the horrible nightmare dealing with the person that answered the call, she abruptly put me on a blind hold and I waited for 20 minutes on hold. While still on hold I called back on another line and someone answered. Mind you I am still on hold on the other line. This person says “I see your account is deactivated because you stated that you live in another state and I can’t make an appointment for you because the account is inactive and we need to verify all of your medications first.” I never told them that I moved to another state and I’ve never been prescribed any medication from this practice nor did I call for any. I called to get a new application for a person with a disability parking placard and that is all I clearly stated. I live in Summerville, SC and my car is insured and registered in SC. The horrible lady hurried and deactivated my account and then put made up false information in my medical records which is clearly a HIPPA violation. I will be contacting the State and Consumer Affairs to file formal charges against this practice."
"Will not be going back to this practice. Scheduled an appointment with the provider I was very comfortable with. The practice changed my appointment and put me with another provider. Received the text appointment reminder for my appointment the next day scheduled for 9:15. I called at 9:44 to reschedule my appointment with the provider I prefer. The office manager insisted I must pay the $35 cancellation fee (for cancelling "
