Palmetto Primary Care Physicians: Oakbrook Office

"I don’t know why the stars are so low for this office, but I’m telling you I’ve been to this office today & in December. This is the most recent review and the god honest truth. The front office staff are very patient, polite and respectful. They are always willing to help. My appointment was around a busy time, it was a lot of people in the lobby. She wasn’t overwhelmed. She just took her time and did her best. She didn’t have an attitude or anything. I complimented her on her necklaces. The medical assistants are always cool, helpful, & polite as well. I always get the one with the glasses and brown hair. I wish I could call them by name. I see Karen Smith for primary care and she is the bomb, I cannot stress this enough. She is very intelligent, very patient, has amazing listening skills and a great personality. I hope she never retires. I also briefly met Jennifer Stolin my first visit and her smile could brighten any room. She’s also very intelligent, and polite. I am so happy I took the initiative to establish primary care with this office, I wouldn’t have it any other way. I feel so welcome and secure there. Thank you to the women at Palmetto Primary Care for making it a great place to be."

"Many of the reviews on here are accurate. The front desk staff has terrible patient service skills no sense of urgency and they are terrible about answering the phone during business hours. My GP Valerie Morris is excellent however. My psychiatrist is Jennifer Stolin I would not recommend her. In my opinion, It's a sideline to her general practitioner role that appears to be income motivated. I recently called out of hours with a psychiatric emergency full blown panic attack and she wouldn't even speak with me on the phone. She only recommended through the on call nurse that I go to the emergency room. She told me today she never does consultations outside business hours and not to call unless "you're dying" literally, she said that. Why would I call my psychiatrist if I were dying!? Every psychiatrist I've had over 20 years invited me to call when in crisis. She is strictly a pharmacologist taking 15 minute appointments offering no therapy of any kind. Look elsewhere for good complete psychiatric care I suggest."

"I don't understand all the negative reviews, but my experience was the complete opposite. I saw Karen Smith today and it's the first time I felt like I was actually listened to as a patient. She took her time, explained the "why" behind the diagnosis and made my medical/mental health make sense for the first time!"

"Whenever I call, I get the unhelpful "answering service". My appointment had to be canceled because my newly assigned doctor couldn't be bothered to be there for it. They close at 12:30pm on a Friday- ridiculous! Alison was my doc and she left - I got ZERO notice. I also don't need to come in every few months for a medication that I've been on for YEARS. Fed up!!!!"

"This Dr office has the most disrespectful workers . Closing the window on my face . Not to mention they already called to reschedule me . Then today I went and as soon as I get walked in the door they were telling me I have to reschedule but I was an hour early so how is that . Seemed that they didnt want to see me in the fi at place. Probably the reason u have a 326 rating lol"
