"I was a patient here during the end of july-beggining of august in 2022. And i am speaking for not only myself but every other kid or teen that i was here with. This was genuinely such a bad place.You are supposed to atleast get ONE weekely call from a parent. Which normally does NOT even happen. Some kids can be here for MONTHS to a YEAR and I can tell you right now that "once a week call" doesn't happen. The living environment was terrible along with MANY lice outbreaks. Many fights and very HARD restraints. Followed with "booty juice"(patient terms for the drug known as Haldol) to "calm you down". Which actually makes you fall asleep in about 5 minutes therefore after given to you the staff and nurses no longer have to "deal" with you until it wears off. When you first get there you have to be "cavity searched" which means you are FULLY naked in front of 1-2 nurses(maybe same gender as you) but even if you are NOT comfortable for MANY different reasons they do NOT care. Staff member body shamed my friend once who was a little "plus" sized that she was too "fat" to run. One of my friends was in the bathroom purging(throwing up their food) and NOBODY realized she was even missing until someone walked in the bathroom MANY minutes later while she had already been PASSED out from it for who knows how long. Most staff members are EXTREMELY rude and will GRASP your arm even if you AGREE to walk back with them. With all the screaming and crying here this place will leave you traumatized. Yes they want it to be a place where you never want to have to come back to but the level of that saying is taken WAY to seriously. This place really left me traumatized and made me worse than when i entered."

"DO NOT PUT YOUR CHILD HERE. My daughter was having some mental issues and we were advised to place her here coming out of Lowcountry behavioral health (they were awesome). The people who work here are impossible to get ahold of, they stole my daughter’s belongings upon discharge, refuse to give me the last name of their regional director “Shannon,” the secretary at the front desk answers the phone at her convenience and wouldn’t offer me any of the upper managements contact info except for a first name. That is SHADY. As a facility that is supposed to be helping children manage their mental illnesses, they are clueless. My daughter went in there and played their staff like a fiddle. Seems like this place is just in business to offer jobs to people who can’t get real mental health jobs. If you work here, you should be ashamed of yourselves. Find a new job because the reviews speak for themselves! Take a look for yourself. They’re all saying the same things I said. And to my daughter’s case manager, Allison Picco, I don’t appreciate your consistent lack of communication. I’ve emailed you several times and your lack of caring has been evident since the first day she was put in there. Makes me sick that this is who is “helping” our children."

"I took my daughter out of this place today after her running away bc of how she was being beaten by other patients and the staff had their involvement too. My daughter was there 11 days and I spoke to her once , she called them all out in front of them and me tonight. She also showed me the staff that tried to get her to fight her and when I asked her if she did that to my child she very aggressively responded to me. Those kids in there are being hurt not helped! I will be filing a report in the morning and I believe I will be pushing for a lawsuit as well. I wouldn’t even give them a zero, a zero would still be too good! This place is wack, I am pushing to shut it down!"

"Staff was awful. The only good staff member was D because he actually did his job well. My stuff got stolen by another patient when he went in my room and it took a whole day for me to get my stuff back. Then, the unnecessary restraints. Can we talk about how unnecessarily cruel this place is when it comes to restraints? Like they restrain you so hard it feels like you're on the rack. No joke. Then, every Friday there's a social. Let's think for a second. Putting adolescent boys and girls together. Doesn't seem like a bad idea in theory, right? I mean there's staff who DEFINITELY care about watching the kids, right??? And finally, my experience. I was admitted here back in April, and ohhh boy. Lets start with some positives. I got a girlfriend here, not dropping her name for privacy reasons. We met back up at another facility, three rivers. That's not the point. The nurse said they're going to have to put me and the girl on a 10-foot rule, when we did nothing to each other. The other patients were dating, why were we any different? Then, to top it all off, the other patients. Words cannot describe how many fights there were purely because of staff negligence. Get better staff, please."

"This is the absolute worst place I have ever been to. Would not recommend sending ur child there. The only good staff that they actually had were fired for being “too attached” like no they were actually trying to help. When a child is having a problem they just hold them down and give them shots. The staff talk continuously about patients AND other staff. I haven’t been here in a year and some change and I would NEVER go back. If I could give them a zero I absolutely without a doubt would"
