"This practice is the worst medical care I have ever experienced and that's coming from a veteran who has dealt with the military and the VA. Make appointments and your physician doesn't show up and then lies and blames you for missing your appointment! I was given a referral to another physician without discussing why! I don't know if it's the inadequate training given to the staff or the lack of oversight by the doctors and nurses. As far as I'm concerned, they are all to blame and if they cannot professionally and compassionately practice medicine, they should find another profession."
"This medical clinic is what you make of it. It's hard to get a primary provider, but once you're in you're in. You are your own medical advocate, so stay laser focused on what you're wanting to be seen for. The only problem I had was a $400 mistake of not checking with my insurance to see how much they cover. For anyone reading this, if a doctor writes you a prescription or x-ray, don't blindly go get them done. This place was in-network for me, but the labs were not. So, since then, now when my doctor cuts me a prescription or lab test, I ask her to print them off. I then go to my insurance app to see if they cover it. If the average price is acceptable, I get it done. If not, I ask the doctor for an alternative."
"This place is a sad excuse for medical care. Called last week(11/10) for appointment, was told they would have to check schedule and call me back. Never happened, 4 days later I call to see what's going on, explained situation, transferred to wrong department, transferred back to another department explained same thing and was hung up on after 10 minutes on phone. Called them back they said they have no record of me calling. My phone shows I called 11/10 @ 3:53PM. They can't even keep up with phone calls. How can they keep up with your health? If you can find an alternative to lowcountry medical group, I recommend you use that instead. These people are way to busy to give proper medical care."
"For two years, every three months I have been receiving a birth control prescription. I was required to take a pregnancy test for the first initial dose, but after that, as long as I received my injection within three months I was approved to pick up my prescription from the pharmacy. I am due for my next injection this week, but my prescription wasn’t refilled. I called and spoke to an extremely rude receptionist who insisted a pregnancy test was required before I could get my prescription. I explained that I have been on this medication consistently and have never needed to take a pregnancy test within the two years I’ve received my injections. She still insisted that the test was required. I contacted my OBGYN and they told me that I should call back and express to BMLCG that I really can’t afford to be off my birth control for a whole month, since July is the earliest they can get me in. I spoke the same rude receptionist who once again insisted that a pregnancy test was recommended before every dose and I asked her to ask my PA why it’s suddenly now an issue after two years of no problems. She refused to pass along my question and insisted that the test was necessary. Normally I would understand, but they didn’t tell me that this was apparently a new requirement (it’s not) until the week it was necessary for me to have my prescription. I work 3 jobs at the moment and availability doesn’t align up until July. I would also understand if I had to take time out of my day every three months to pee in a cup the last two years, but I haven’t. The receptionist insulted me and told me that it was even worse that I hadn’t had a test in over two years, and spoke to me like I was stupid when I asked her why it was suddenly an issue. The phone call ended when the receptionist actually hung up on me. It’s unfortunate because the prescription I was on has awful withdrawal symptoms and I’m already experiencing some. I will be getting a new primary care practice and I suggest you do the same. They never have availability, you always wait on hold for minutes at a time, reception is rude, and they clearly do not have their patients best interest in mind. Stay clear!!"
"I've been coming here for years. Great doctors, nurses, and front desk. I have never had an issue. Clean attmosphere and I never have to wait very long to see my doctor!"
