Reviews of The Regional Medical Center: Emergency Room
"They will let you suffer here. They don’t care. Everyone’s mad at you for being sick. If you don’t have some serious wounds or something, don’t expect help from here. New management needed"
"wish i could give them 0 stars. went in @ 10:50, they took my blood and urine sample, had to wait again and it has already been over an hour and i have a baby to breastfeed. so we told the front we were leaving and she seemed sad for us, and she came out. we thought she was gonna talk to us, but she had to get her pizza... from doordash. and before that, a doctor came out, was looking around, come to find out hes ALSO waiting for his doordash. there was a lady in pain yelling for help, but no one was helping her. so we left, and 20 minutes later, they call us back, and it's a man. he said he has my antibiotics & i told him i had to come him cause i had a baby to breastfeed. then i asked him if i can come in another time, and he said: yes, ill write a note and let them know. we come in next morning, lady at the front said she doesnt know anything about a note and to write my name and birthday down. 30 min later, she comes out and tell me that they cannot give me anything because i left last night. IF I KNEW I WASNT GOING TO GET ANYTHING I DEF WOULDNT HAVE WASTED MY TIME. and she also said: so that means nobody called u. I CAME BECAUSE SOMEONE CALLED. ABSOLUTE WASTE OF TIME. NEVER COMING HERE AGAIN. and what of my blood and urine samples???"
"As any 1st year med student can tell you wood does not show up in a x ray. I told them this. 4 hours and they couldn't find anything in x ray. 1 inch splinter she takes a 3 sec look we can't do anything. If I could give a negative rating I would .went to VA 2 hour drive was worth it. They will never see me again. Do not go if you like living."
"If I could give less than a 1 star review I would! This place should be shut down! Came in today and waited nearly 3.5 hours. Finally asked for an ETA and was told they were understaffed and busy. I pushed the issue a bit only to find out I had been taken out of their system 6 minutes after arrival. Was told i must have gone outside. (Which I did not!) Was told the wait time is usually 2 hours but they were under staffed and busy. I tried to be understanding. After waiting another hour my daughter was taken to get her vitals. At this point we were put BACK into the waiting room. I arrived at 6:20pm ; At 11:20 pm I asked again if they had an ETA. Was told a triage nurse would come talk to me. I was then told we had never been discharged we were just moved on his list. I asked why did the receptionist tell me I had been discharged 6 minutes after arrival. He repeated himself. Mind you I witness 2 shift changes (receptionist, security guards and apparently the triage nurses) everyone kept telling me that it all happened before they got here. I also witnessed the waiting room fill up and clear out 3x before I finally left. There were others who left as well, one man said he'd been there since 3pm. This hospital is beyond under qualified to be the only emergency unit in the immediate area. I heard they are under new management as well. Too bad that doesn't seem to be helpful or mean much ofanything! !"
"All of the other reviews are accurate! Avoid this place at all costs! I Brought my daughter in with a fever and severe chills. Our tele-doc said she needs to be seen within 2 hours due to recent UTI infection. We Arrived at 2:55pm, still haven't been seen and it's 8:30pm. I shared with the nurse what our tele-doc said. Still nothing! Security had to be called because another lady is very frustrated because she has been waiting 7 hours to be seen. This hospital and the university of SC should be ashamed to treat people like this! Keep driving to the next town, ER or urgent care if you can."
