Edgefield County Hospital: Emergency Room

"My family is new to this area. My daughter burned her face opening the oven 450 degrees of grease steam. The doctor told her Vaseline would be her best friend and tried to send her home. He said she had the equivalent of a sunburn. I had to get loud with him and tell him we came there for help. He is going to send her a hefty bill the least he could do was help her. He told me not to question his medical degree... So dont give me a reason to homie! She was shaking uncontrollably from head to toe from the pain. She has blisters and what almost looks like road rash all over her face. Her lips and nostrils are swollen and blistered. Sunburn my a$$! They were not busy! The parking lot was almost empty. Looked only enough to be staff parking. The rooms were almost all empty. They didn't want to work. They didn't want to be helpful. As soon as we walked into the entrance I wanted to turn around and drive for 2.5 hours back home to charleston to get real help. There is no desk to greet you. "What do you need" comes over the intercom. Just a voice no one to look at. This is not the place you go to get help! Only 1 visitor because of fake a$$ covid. Its been over for a long time. There are no more illegal mandates. It's over but this hospital is still playing the game. Masks and all! They know better! They wanna sit around making big money doing nothing in the name of covid. I would not recommend this hospital! I got the feeling that their patients don't matter... but birthday parties at work do! I will drive 2.5 hours to go to a real hospital with doctors who earned their degree rather than the ones who just paid for it. This hospital is for flunkie students that couldn't make the grade! These are not medical "professionals"!"

"My dad went here for shortness of breath and a cough. They pretty much brushed it off and gave him a nasal spray that did NOT help. We went to another emergency room and they said he had bronchitis. Not only did they say nothing was wrong, but we also got a bill for 2k when they didn’t put any effort in to find out what’s actually wrong. Don’t waste your time or money here."
