"I really don't have anything to complain about with empower, I haven't had a single issue with them other than them flagging my own purchases once and awhile, when I purchased a $300 cold air intake for my car they paused my account and denied the transaction, a quick text and I made my purchase fine. I also took a loan out for a motorcycle with a rather low interest rate through them, no issues with them so far."

"I work night shift, lately whenever I get to the bank after 5:30, I go to use rhe drive thru and they are closed before 6, when the website clearly says that the drive thru closes at six. Why is the drive thru closed before closing time? When am I supposed to cash my check? Very inconvenient considering switching banks."

"Opened a small business account. Before I could even activate the debit cards, somebody tried using the account number and routing number to purchase things on the internet. They first two times they got the $100 I opened account with. They tried 20 more times to buy things but there was no money left. But each of those 20 times, Empower charged me $25. I had NO IDEA. Empower NEVER contracted me. A month later I get a letter in the mail, not from Empower, but from a collection agency! I went down to the bank, had to pay the $500 dollars in fees to Empower. They never called, never sent a letter, NOTHING to alert me my account which I had not even started using. They just sent it to collections. I paid the $500 and closed my account. Empower is run by incompetent people at best, cheating scumbags at worst. No communication. Stay far away. Pathfinder, M&T never caused me problems like this. Expensive lesson. Stay away from empower!"
