"Sadly I tried to make an appointment 3 times and receptionist was very rude. It’s unfortunate that I did not get the chance to actually see the doctor for my needs . I felt interrogated about my insurance and was also told flatly I was not in network when I checked my insurance portal and it said we were. Instead the receptionist wanted to be argumentative about being self pay. I could pay and I also have a flex account but because of the attitude as a consumer I would prefer to find a place that welcomes you not deter you."
"The staff was very welcoming. Dr. Connor is also very knowledgeable and attentive. He actually sits down and listens without talking over you. I have very sensitive skin however; the products he recommended were very gentle and effective."
"My husband went in. Doctor was young, had no answers, seemed unknowledgeable, brought a few younger girls in who didn’t say a word, asked him to take his shirt off (not even sure really why, they didn’t say), it was very awkward and disrespectful. Will never use them again. Being a male doctor, you should be able to sit guy to guy and talk about whatever is going on, not being a bunch of young girls in a room with you, and make it just plain weird. No real answers, and a few having girls stare at my husband in a room with a doctor who comes off very odd, and without a shirt is not okay, and very unprofessional. From a wife’s point of view, this made me uncomfortable, but also him. Then to top it off gave him meds, without any direction on how often to taken them. Just over all very displeased and unprofessional and we will not be back. I can see why there’s not a good rating, and another comment about this place is negative. I’ve left my personal number with someone at the desk, and no call back other than to my husband from the doctor after he saw my review and suddenly felt the need “to see how things were going” and asked for the review to be taken down. Until I personally get a phone call back, this will stay right here and will not be taken down."
"I had a very positive experience of Columbia Dermatology at Newberry. Dr. Connor and his staff were refreshing, knowledgeable and good communicators concerning my condition . I personally give them high marks, and I would recommend them. After all due to his intervention, I am getting better!"
"Called to get information on making a first time appointment. Was told that I could but doing the referral would be faster and when I told the receptionist I would attempt to get that but I just moved to this state, they wouldn't let me schedule an appointment and told me to first try the referral route. I was able to get the referral sent to them, they scheduled an appointment for me without calling, and then sent me the information in the mail. When I opened the letter, it not only had my name, but it also had another patients name and more information that did not pertain to me. I called to cancel my appointment and let them know of the HIPAA breach, and they wouldn't even take the name of the patient I had on my letter because "all letters are automated" and was asked to just toss it with no further information. Unfortunately, I also work in healthcare and that is NOT how that should be handled. The other patient should have been made aware of the error on the providers part. I will never be going to this office as I am afraid my information could also be shared."
