"Doctor's and NP are great. Individuals who work at the front desk need a complete attitude adjustment. Maybe take a class or two on compassion and understanding and throw in some empathy. Just as much as you don't want to see us. We don't want to see you either"
"I think it's a little sketchy that those who give this clinic 4-5 stars are not verified patients, and don't describe what they liked about the care they received. I can say from previous personal experience that the staff at this clinic, including the front desk staff which are not very friendly or accommodating and for some ridiculous reason come across as snooty, simply because they have a job there??? Customer service training seems to be lacking. I stopped going here in favor of the Oakwood VA Clinic, which is 45 minute drive each way since I live in Toccoa. Now that I've just recently enrolled in a Medicare HMO I need to choose a PCP in their network, and not surprisingly have only a few to choose from in Toccoa. I called to ask about a doctor that was Board Certified and was accepting new patients. The front deck person was rude on the phone. I don't want to see the doctor I saw previously, which like another reviewer mentioned, spent maybe 3 minutes with me over a span of 3 visits. Nurse Practitioners are qualified but you expect to see a doctor when you visit. I'm from a larger metropolitan area and always received good medical care. I'm not accustomed to be disrespected or neglected by medical providers. If I receive sub-standard care I will document and report each incident to NGPG to someone in a position to care about how patients are being treated. I would encourage others to do the same. To be fair I'll amend this review going forward if warranted."
"I had an awful experience here today. Dr Quinn came in and took less than a minute looking at me. He even put his stethoscope over my sweatshirt (very thick) to listen to me “breathing”. This is not usually acceptable considering the thickness of my sweatshirt over my other shirt. I was unpleased with his bedside manner, considering he had none. He is very unprofessional and does not state what he is doing. He does not follow clinical conduct rules. He diagnosed me with sinus congestion when it is very apparent that Any congestion I have is in my chest. He did not describe what was wrong with me and made me feel very unimportant. He just prescribed me an antibiotic, very quickly and abrupt."
"Dr Quinn just needs to be fired. I go in because of a possible appendix or kidney issue. I have a bad flare of pain while I’m sitting there and start crying. He comes in looks at my ears and throat and then tells me I have a slight kidney infection and that he sent some antibiotics out, “hang in there kiddo” and left. He didn’t feel my stomach at all or ask me what the pain was. I DIDNT COME IN FOR ANTIBIOTICS. I was already taking antibiotics for the kidney infection, which he knew. Going to the hospital today, if it’s my appendix I will be calling his supervisor."
"My daughter lives at college in Toccoa (1hr 45 min from home) and woke up this morning with body aches, low grade fever and very sore throat. She went to NGPG Toccoa clinic(MedAccess after hours) and had a strep swap test by a very nice nurse, Then Dr Quinn came in. He never spoke to her at all about any symptoms, he looked in her throat with a light and said he would wait for strep results, he then came back and told her the strep test came back negative and he would call in a decongestion and left the room. My daughter left still feeling terrible with no answers. I didn’t want her staying at school sick and unsure of what was going on so she drove home so she could get the proper care. I called the office to ask why they had not done a flu test. Crystal at the office said that the CDC does not recommend the test due to it not being accurate. Crystal was helpful to go over the clinic notes since the Dr didn’t have the professionalism to tell my daughter anything. Supposedly he prescribed an antibiotic as well (which was Not at the pharmacy so crystal had to help with that as well) along with the decongestion. I asked what that was for and was told it was for her sinus infection. Sinus infection? I’m confused???? Dr never looked up her nose or examined her at all, (other than a quick look with flashlight in her throat only) and never said a word about any infection or anything else at all for that matter. Dr Quinn is very rushed, rude and unprofessional and I would hope my daughter or any other student away from home NEVER has to see him. Dr Quinn certainly doesn’t have their health in best interest. I would think in this particular time of the flu and viruses running rampant ,that he would take his time to educate his patients as to how to care for themselves. Especially, when these kids are away from home. Thank god for my daughter that she is close enough and was able to come home from school so she can get the proper care now. I left my contact info at the office (for Ramona the office manager), so as I can make a formal complaint."
