"Back in April I had an appointment with Dr Boppana. During my appointment he turned towards a computer and began typing as we were conversing. While he was turned to the side he used the opportunity to slip on a bluetooth earpiece and answer a phonecall in a different language while I was mid sentence without telling me. I thought he was mumbling at first until I paused and he spun around with the bluetooth now visible and continued talking in a foreign language to whoever he was on the phone with. It was very awkward. I was irritated but I shrugged it off and left. It became clear afterwards that he did not hear most of what I said and it is becoming frustrating to deal with him. Edit: I can see someone called the comments about Boppana "misguided". Its not an opinion, its just a fact of what happened. No guidance or misguidance? not sure what that even means. The man answered a phone call in a different language I dont know while I was mid sentence telling him my symptoms. This is unacceptable. This sort of thing happens all the time at VA clinics. You are the one who is misguided. Dont attack me for simply stating a fact of what happened to me that you have no idea about."
"After reading some of the misguided comments directed at Dr. Boppana, I felt it necessary to add a counterpoint. Iβm so glad to have been assigned to this outstanding physician. Although his personal inclination is to not make much eye to eye contact, he is very attentive to what is being said by redirecting his focus away from the speaker. In so far as putting in a Bluetooth device while the patient is still speaking, this is in order to proceed directly into making the necessary consults in order to address the issues being described to him in real time. I was personally helped by his calling of no less than three people in order to accommodate my needs. Thank you Dr. Boppana."
"I was told to call every morning to check on any cancellations. Phone rang for 65 minutes Fri, 68 minutes Mon and 46 minutes today. Columbia operator has also tried reaching them for me. They're not responding to instant messages on the computer from Columbia, either. The healthcare service has been very good but the up front operations are horrid."
"This VA facility is excellent. I went to a scheduled 1 hour initial visit and was seen promptly. Dr. Hussain is excellent. Went for a walk in triage visit again I was seen within 20 minutes and everyone there is very kind. Thank you to all that work for us. β₯οΈ"
"Terrible health care. Pretty much NIL! Don't answer phone, won't call back, won't respond to secure message and when they do it's usually a generic answer that's ISNT helpful at all. They always try to send you to urgent care or the ER or try and make you drive to Greenville to pick up meds when sick. That's a no go!! Optum health that's supposed to cover urgent care visits and medications....I had bronchitis for a month because I couldn't get my antibiotics. Once I start feeling better the antibiotics show up in my mailbox. This place is a huge joke!"
