Prisma Health Urgent Care-Powdersville

"I came here because my mother (71) was in distress and needed urgent care. Her copay was $50. I paid it for her. I explained that I believed my mother had pneumonia and possibly flu or Covid and that she hadn’t eaten in two weeks. I figured this would be faster than waiting 8 hours in the ER. They took our money and took her vitals. Dr came in and basically said that she needed blood work and a chest x ray, and I needed to take her to the ER. This was a complete waste of time and they kept my money after offering zero assistance. I literally paid $50 for them to take her vitals. I then had to walk my mother, who was weak and falling over, back out to my car and take her to the ER-where we waited 8 hours and ended up admitted because she was severely dehydrated and had Flu A. I just wanted to be refunded since they did nothing. . Taking my mom’s vitals and sending us away was not worth keeping $50. They’re sorry. Just go to ER."

"Had a terrible experience here today. My daughter spiked a fever this morning and is complaining of a terrible sore throat so I want to get her strep tested. They claim to be "equipped" to handle walk-ins and provide immediate care but that is not true. They were unwilling to work with me. The first available care they offered wad 5 hours later. I also asked the receptionist for help with quoting our copay and her response was "you can type in your card information on the form or call them". I said, "Can't you just scan my card and tell me what the coverage is?" And she said no. I was in no way helped by ANY of her actions. TERRIBLE customer service at the most basic level. Not to mention that she never even acknowledged or spoke to my daughter who was obviously very ill. I also asked them if they had a blanket for her since my daughter was febrile and had chills. After checking they said no they couldn't give her anything. Honestly just so frustrated and disappointed by every aspect of that experience today. Total waste of time to drive 25 minutes and wait for 40 more to not been seen. Do better, Prisma."

"It was the day after Christmas, and I only had a 15 minute wait from my appointment time. I checked in online and had no paperwork to do. The nursing staff was very efficient to ensure they had all my physical details/medications. When the Doctor came in, she examined me, questioning me the entire time about my symptoms. Never wasted a second. I was out of the office with a prescription at the nearby CVS in 90 minutes. Prescribed exactly what I needed for an acute sinus infection…feeling almost 100% today!"

"I made an early morning appointment the night before so I wouldn't have to have a long wait. I did the right thing. After I checked in it was only about 10 minutes before they called my back. The nurse walked in the room with me and started the visit. I was very please with quick everything was handled. The nurse, the tech and the doctor was very thoughtful of my feelings and sickness. I was in and out in less than a hour."

"Our experience at this urgent care facility was amazing! We were seen quickly for an athletic injury. The nurse and doctor both were so personable with my 17 year old and put her at ease throughout the visit. She was a bit dramatic (haha) about getting stitches and they handled her nervousness perfectly! I couldn’t have asked for a better or more efficient experience."
