"Ami kids staff were okay but the director and some staff were not helpful towards our issues I was there for three months and it wasn't the best experience although I made friends like Micheal Carroll he was super nice to me and was a good support system for me"
"We explored the abandoned part... There's probably ghosts I'd recommend checking out on old oak church road go down it till you find an abandoned church. I'd suggest going at night."
"I went here back in 2002 had been incarcerated 4 months before arriving here stayed here 90 days , we had bunk beds on a row no enclosed space in a open dorm tables were centered in the center walkway it was more of boot camp in 2002 we had 1 day shift guard 1 night shift guard his name was old-school cool guy , we also had 28 people per dorm a dorm and b dorm , 5 bathroom stalls all open 8 open showers 1 room , and laundry room , we lifted weights , had basketball , volleyball was our rec during the evening school in the morning , no fences iss was if we got in trouble we had to stay out side at night instead of sleep at a table we couldn't move from where we were guarded . There were 3 different camps . They fed us good we wasn't allowed much but we were being punished what could you expect. It's not supposed to be easy and to your accommodation. Better then being in the actual ydc or rydc back in my days they were ruff."
"On a video call with my child today in this facility. Witnessed a staff member choke slam a 15 year old child, choke him while he was pinned to the ground, then when the child spit. This staff member punched this child across the face. I have contacted my Lawyer, Dfacs and the dfacs attorney. I don't know what kind of training your staff gets in restraining children. But I doubt punching them in the face is part of the process.... I am so upset I am shaking, grown man punching a child in his care in the face. These children get taken away from abusive homes and have to go to dfacs care to be abused more? Just wanted to publicly inform you of what your staff members are doing to these children you ignore."
"I'm 15 and this is a terrible place to live at! For the past 2 weeks we have had to sleep in one dorm because of there being one night staff working night shift. Me and one other kid have to sleep on the FLOOR. And since there are 6 "rooms" in one dorm, me and him have to sleep on the floor. So thats 8 kids in one dorm, and one staff in the dorm. What kind of bs is that? this place DESERVES to be shut down. Terrible care for us kids. One staff named sharteshia jackson or ms t.c as we call her, makes us stay outside in the burning hot sun for 2 - 4 hours. Absolutely terrible"
