"I went Palm Sunday three days ago. I loved it. I hadn't been since attending a memorial for a friend there about a year ago. Mom reminded me I was a ring bearer at her & my dad's childhood friend wedding there many years before. This is a special church in my life although I wasn't raised in it. In attending last week however it stoked powerful memories of another special church in Gaffney, South Carolina still serving: Midway, a Baptist Church too. This past Palm Sunday service in Orangeburg was quite powerful. Beautiful hymns, choir, pianist, readers and a short but serious message from the pastor. The message wasted no words, was spoken with authority and arranged with direct purpose. It's message just happened to resonate wholly with a message I have been quite interested in myself these past seven years, eight months and seven days in my life. You know that ain't no accident. I do plan on being there Easter Sunday and whether you lose your active memory or not; our living memory of the past will still keep on shining. Thank y'all for a beautiful service."
