"Good luck to anyone taking the CNA course with Dallas Collin’s. She is quite literally the most miserable and uninterested professor I have ever come in contact with. I seriously don’t think she smiled once the whole semester. She was so rude to ALL of the students. She made it seem like if you forgot one little thing, you were the dumbest student ever. She would get mad for little things that didn’t ever matter. I accidentally grabbed my pen instead of a pencil for test day, and I literally wanted to cry realizing I would have to ask her if I could run to my car to get my pencil. Would’ve been easier if we were allowed to bring a bag into the class… however, you better come in with a pen, pencil, and highlighter (and nothing else). We also had an older gentleman in the class, who took a little longer to get things, and she, and the lab assistants, treated him so poorly. Do not ask her any questions either, because she will bite your head off when answering. Also, even if your hands are full and she’s asking you to sign something, don’t put your papers on her desk… because she will get mad and tell you get your things off of her desk. Try not to forget one small thing she said 3 weeks prior because she will call you out in front of the WHOLE class. Please remember to cover ALL visible tattoos because she will look at them disgusted and tell you to cover them. Dallas Collin’s really left a bad taste in my mouth for OC Tech. I get being strict to your students, but she made us all miserable and didn’t care one bit about any of us. My anxiety was always horrible whenever I had that class. She made the entire class absolutely miserable. The lab assistants weren’t much better. I think it’s time for both to retire, as they seem very irritable and tired. They were very short with us and expected us to know how to do things exactly correct. They did ALL of the work while Collin sat in her chair. This class didn’t feel like a safe learning environment, it was a truly horrible experience. If you take this class good luck! I have already made complaints about her, which seem to go no where."
"I am back pursuing my degree in Business and the changes are different from when I started sum years ago but they are good changes. The option to take classes online is a game changer and convenient for me to finish my major. Also the faculty and staff are always helpful with people and the needs to get it done. Thanks."
"I was dropped from the nursing program, from Dean Tooley to Mrs.Chavis...they are all full of BS. I never got a fair chance because they have their picks. They didn't like me from the start. Ms. Hendrix wrote a smiley face on my paper when she thought I was a no snow. When I asked for help, she always said "some other time". Mrs.Headden and Mrs. Bonaparte tried to embarrass me in class ever chance they got by yelling at me instead of helping me. All I could smell was jealousy and evil looks...from classmates to faculty/staff. That only tells me God has so much greater for me! I will stay humble, succeed, as God as my witness and I don't need their negativity. I should sue, but God can handle them much better than I can!"
"Don't waste your time on this school. It's no more than a glorified high school. Nursing program sucked. And they maneuver ways to get money like the way I was handled. I was dropped from the program for failing a lab procedure. But Rhonda Browning (Nurse Instructor) showed that I withdrew so they could charge me for the entire semester of $1200.00 more. This has happened before even though when a student drops a class, they charged me for withdrawing getting additional money. They are rude, the staff is unprofessional, and the the whole idea of getting a BS is a joke. Sabe y o ur money. They have ways not only to get Govt. Assistance but also will find a way to charge you more. Don't trust them. Been sucked for a program not allowed to attend. All nursing instructors are dumber than a brick. And every time you complete courses to be able to go into a program, they continue to add more classes to complete. Took me 5 it's to get to the Nursing Program by adding. Don't trust it. Go to a real Community college like Trident Tech. I have 60 credits but no degree. They keep adding more courses. Now I need 7 more. What a waste of time and money. Don't get sucked in."
