"it is fantastic great classes , seminars, art classes, music it has everything the place is beautiful don't miss out"
"Instructors are personable and make friends of us participants. Using facility helps alleviate my oneness. I feel invigorated and renewed after exercise. Hours are very accommodating also. Thank you."
"This is a great place for seniors to gather and has a host of activities from exercise, to the arts, to trips and meals. There is a minimal annual charge but it is covered by the Silver Sneakers membership if you have it on your insurance. There are extra, generally small, fees for things like trips and some programs. (They do have to pay instructors and there are similar free programs too.) The facility itself is clean and roomy and there is usually enough going on to just drop by if you want to. You can also join a continuing program and learn dance or poetry or talk with a financial advisor and many other things. The major disadvantage is the lack of accommodation for people with disabilities. There are a few handicapped toilets but no wheelchair accessible dining room tables and absolutely no accommodation on the travel vans. They are even difficult for folks with canes and too crowded for those with oxygen. It is run by a corporation so it is not a free service, but the cost is reasonable and you can choose whether to spend more for the "extras". It is nice not to go on trips alone and to find friends with similar interests. The business end could be a bit more organized, and communication with members is slower than it should be. Otherwise it would have another star."
"I am getting ripped off. I have tried online, calling 10 x They refuse to cancel my membership unless I come in I injured my back. I can't come in. I only went once to check it out. They said I had to sign up now. I never once used this membership. It's been 6 months or more. I want a full refund. I will tell all my bmw retirees to stay away. UPDATE... After calling again, I was put in touch with someone who apologized and refunded the membership fees. I appreciate that. Raised to 3 stars from 1."
"Even though its mission has changed since the Center moved to its current location, Senior Action continues to be a good place for seniors. It makes me sad that the seniors who most need a place like that now have to pay $100 to become members. If you are not a member, you have to pay for each activity, which is difficult for older people who only get a social security check. Now, the emphasis is on making money at all costs to be able to pay for that new building. All the seminars offered by the center are organized by Corporate Members with the sole purpose of getting new clients. This is really very disappointing."
